so i hope you get along with so....
by the way...

iron man looked great;-)

the other thing is....even if the suits arent looking like in the comis, they still have style...even if it wasnt mentioned to have...well of course not fo theyr purpose, cause combat suits dont need to look good at first place of course ..........but even then its good looking(IMO)

That's the thing, though - I wouldn't even have a problem with this current suit if it was even the slightest bit aesthetically appealing, but it's not. It is the "Ice Suit" of Nolan's films. Although, slightly more redeemable, as everything else looks great.

what ????:-) no let me be more accurate....what are you meaning with "ice suit"???

You know, I might watch Batman and Robin tonight.

I haven't seen a good comedy in a while.

no way you compare these with the dark knight... i was mentioning a few posts before that these were icky...they hadnt any purpose to look like this...except the awful look itself :-)

Oh, they're very similar, actually.

Most of the TDK suit has no purpose, either.

if you mean so:o
i really dont see much resemblance here..anyway...gotta take a nap ...we'll discuss later on that;-) have good night

I don't understand how comments like this can be made without seeing the film yet. How do we know some of the elements have no purpose? Did the thought that they may be explained in the film ever occur?

Having said that, the explanation may not be entirely believable, but it could still be there. :woot:

I mean the pointless greeble which have been randomly tossed in that contribute to the suit's general over-design. For example, roadmap legs. Why are they there? They don't seem to be placed in any strategic fashion so as to allow mobility.

Sure it may look that way, but as in many cases, looks can be deceiving. We'll never truly know until July 18, as we'll never know the truth behind most speculation on these boards until the release of the film.

Is there really any conceivable use for them? They're not placed anywhere that would be necessary for him to movie.

Another seemingly pointless thing is the bat-bra (you know, that whole grey chest area).

And it's not like we haven't poured over the suit, discussed whatever possibilities there were, and discarded them. I mean, come on. We're the Bat-Board, dammit.

How would I know? I didn't design it lol.

Well, from what we can tell, I guess you are correct here.

You hit the nail on the head with "seemingly". Once again, all we are doing is guess work. Sure we've analyzed it hundreds of times, but what do we know? We didn't design it. Perhaps the chest piece is created for easy open access, in case Bats needs to get out of the suit quickly. The two-piece chest piece allows him to open the suit as if it were, for lack of better word, on a "hinge", and remove the torso section. As I said though, until July 18, we don't know for sure.

To release the Allspark?

This is funny--"Oh, it might be there for a reason!" So the legs needed to be ugly because...? And the body armour needed a million stupid decorative lines because...? And the chest needed the stupid v-plate because...? Oh, and by the way: that "easy access" idea is nonsense: how does an additional plate on top of the chest make it easier to open?

The truth is that the batsuit as a super secret function that made it's ugliness necessary: it's a transformer. Or, more accurately, a Bayformer; it transforms into an even uglier robot.

What's easier to take off:

A vest?

Or pulling a long sleeve shirt over your head?
