I would do (and am doing...)something like this...
DWams-Mach1-Batsuit.jpg

It's all a one piece as I see it.
I will be a black on black suit...
It's just all about how and what type of blacks to use.
I wanted to give him copper bronze lenses like his belt
to keep him dark and mono colored as much as possible..

Here is the oval suit option...

I like that. As was said, it seems to be in the same vein as the TDK suit, but a lot better executed.

I'd like to see a full rendition of that suit on an actual model. I have a hard time liking how that cowl would look on a face.

Nice suit. Don't much like the oval option, though. If you could work in a more Year One-style symbol, that would be cool.

Rescue dawn was filmed in summer 2005 and TDK was filmed in 2007. This is a lot more time than what he had b/w Machinist filmed in 2003 and BB filmed in 2004. Which leads me to believe that this leaner physique was a conscious decision by him and Nolan.

he also filmed 3:10 to yuma which required he also be thin so he didnt have a large time frame so it was probably a mixture of the two. It just isn't healthy to put on all that weight like he did, maybe his physician told him not too. Anyways it doesn't matter, the best martial artists in the world are thinner and more agile and after months of being batman it has to take a toll on the human body. No sleep and all that exercise and the ridiculous stress would get to anyone.

No. There's no way he could consume himself with his mission and neglect to maintain peak physical condition.

This happens all the time. Look at someone like Kurt Angle, who is in top physical condition. Now, he looks really thin and frail (his weight right now is at 180, when it should be about 40lbs heavier), but can still put on a great match.

This is a person that works so hard at what he does, fighting through injury with freaking broken neck twice to do great, that he became addicted to pain pills so that he could keep going. His body was worn down to the point that it could have ended his career.

The same can be applied to Batman and his mission. He keeps going no matter what because crime will never take a break, so he shouldn't either. He leads of life of duality that can affect you, especially since he is pretty much still a green superhero, I think that it's very plausible for it to happen. Like I said before, I don't think they will actually have this in the movie.

Let's not kid ourselves into thinking these real-world stress occurrences and whatnot affected how Bale chose to bulk up. Nor should we use it as a crutch to explain Bale's physical downgrade.

That's just blatant denial.

I said it's only something that I would love to see as an aspect to explore in the movie. I don't think it will actually happen at all, or even expect it to be the reason for his physical appearance.

Do you actually plan on making this into a physical costume?

You might want to reconsider the bicep section:
Instead of having both the "elbow" end and the "armpit" end of the bicep section be bowed out toward the elbow and armpit, they should be bowed inwards, toward the middle of the bicep.
Otherwise, the forearm piece will rest directly on the bicep piece when the arm is bent, and the armpit end will rest on either the uppermost "rib' section when the arms are at rest.
Cutting each end inward instead of outward will allow them to interlock like a puzzle piece.
But an excellent,"quasi-futuristic" look.

Very impressive renderings. How did you do them exactly? And what are you planning ... a full scale costume build, or something else?

It's stupid either way (dunno what they were thinking putting a sculpted mouth on there), but it's not a smile. Maybe you were joking. Internet; can never tell.
