Which is why I suggested making it in the same manner was the Spider-Man, FF, or even Begins suits; to give it some weight and toughness that the DE suit didn't have.
like i said, if they applied previous comic suit methods to that design, it would have looked okay but i still would have preferred something more original. it's VERY faithful to the comic book look but it's a little generic, imo. Also, I'm not sure I understand your complaint, when I consider that batsuit manipulation based on the Johnny Storm picture you did a while back. Your comments seem as applicable to that suit as they do to the MK suit above. For the record, I'm not trying to be a jerk--I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from.
This pic kind of highlights my problems with the suit - if they'd had made the suit completely out of the material used in the legs, I'd have been a far happier camper.

They did, actually. The legs are neoprene with foam rubber detailing glued on top, just like the rest of the suit. Only the approach they took is different. The torso is just sculpted in such a way that it requires a hell of a lot more foam rubber, and it ends up being a lot thicker and bulkier--and because the chest and shoulders are attached, you get all the buckling and "puffing." The stomach, actually, isn't quite so bad; it seems a lot more like the legs in terms of construction (though it's all angular and lame). The chest and shoulders are the real problem. I also think they (the chest and shoulders, that is) kind of forced Bale's posture to change. If you compare shots of him in the TDK suit and shots of him in the BB suit, he appears to be standing much more naturally in the TDK suit, whereas in the BB suit he always looks like he has a stick up his butt.
Anyways, if they had taken the same approach with the body that they did with the legs--simple, thin, conservative sculpting--it would have been considerably more awesome, especially if they used the organic styling they used on the legs, instead of the more angular look.
Any source for these pics? I swear, they should make it a rule in that thread that you can't post new pics without a source.

Although I still like the all black suits, I think I could actually take a liking to this suit if it were used on film. Maybe lose the black tights though.Darker version of the MK suit:

I know what they are, I just want to know where they're from, and if there's a way to find HQ versions.Seems obvious to me that the first 2 are from one of the promo shoots since those stances have ended up in various other images. The others...probably also promo by the studio. Must be leaks of some sort.

It's slowly growing on me. I really like it.

Make black and darker grey version of this in the same manner as the Spider-Man suit, Fantastic Four costumes, or even the Begins suit, and you'd have a pretty killer batsuit.
I was rummaging through the old Begins folder and found an image that popped out. Many will remember this as concept art from "The Art of Batman Begins," which shows a different 9and superior) direction that the Begins suit could have gone.

As much as I appreciate the unique approach they've taken to the construction of this suit (though not the aesthetics), I think the Begins suit could still be a viable avenue, if executed a little different. Streamline it, find some way around the bulk and buckling issue (especially in the chest), etcetera.
Oddly, I'm not a fan of ^ this ^ pic...Darker version of the MK suit:

For something that is "clearly one piece"no reason other than that it was clearly one piece, and seemingly one of a kind.![]()
I always loved this pic. It's just incredibly badass.

A better look at the suit from the back, for those interested:

And incredibly dangerous. It looks like the wind could catch that cape and blow him right off the edge lol.
