Endgame Captain America/Steve Rogers - Chris Evans

I'm also curious about the future of our reality now
that the stones have been destroyed. As per Ancient Tilda, removing just one of them from the time stream can have catastrophic consequences. Hmm. Could Marvel be using this not only as a plot device/catalyst for introducing X-Men and F4 but also to gradually build toward a multiverse incursion epic, as informed by "Time Runs Out" in New Avengers and Secret Wars 2015?

All I read from that was "If you take the stones from where they should be, there can be grave consequences, as we won't have the stones when we need them"

Not "If a stone is removed from the universe the whole thing goes kablooey"

and again, I really f***ing hate the idea of a cosmic event causing the x-men to suddenly appear in the MCU. There should've been a few mutants operating in the shadows for quite some time, and then you can say the Battle of New York caused the mutant birth rates to skyrocket. But just saying "Hey, here's millions of mutants out of nowhere" doesn't work for me

Didn’t they establish who Peggy Carters husband was on the Agent Carter series? That’s MCU cannon isn’t it?

It was never revealed. The show ended before all those details could be revealed. They seemed to be hinting at one character, but it never became official.

Saw somewhere on Twitter that the Russo's said that Cap could have lifted Mjolnir in AoU but chose not to to protect Thor's ego.

I rewatched the scene, Steve wasn't fully trying. However even his attempt caused the hammer to move slightly and Thor noticed it immediately

I remember Joss Whedon posing the question of did he fail or did he stop when someone asked him about it a while ago. I always thought Steve stopped and made it look like he couldn't as to not make anyone look bad. Steve is not the type of guy to do something and brag about it, so he gains nothing by lifting it in that moment.

Yeah, but she also said that they "control the flow of time," right? So if you destroy all six of them in one fell swoop that can't be good for the space-time continuum.

I always saw it that way to be honest. Cap just went through the motions the first time around for sport and out of sheer curiosity, the latter of which was satisfied when he moved it ever so slightly. Thor noticed this as well; you may recall his growing agitation at the sight of Cap performing the feat even halfway. That's partly why he says, "I knew it" in Endgame. Cap's no braggart, though, he's a humble guy. That's why he refrained from stealing Thor's thunder, no pun intended.

The main problem with Steve'd ending is that it demonstrates how little Cap really grew. He's still hung up on Peggy, he still wants to live in the forties.

Yet, sadly, consistent with the story the Russos made for him. Since TWS he's felt like a guy fighting because that's what he knows, rather than having something to fight for.

Oh, and he made a pass at his niece.

Cool so that's what they went with.

I forget who first told me but I preferred the logic that he wasn't worthy because of knowing about Bucky's killing of Tony's parents and keeping it from him.

Let's Recap shall we

Cap has gone up against all sorts of challenges throughout his career.

The first Avenger : Red Skull & Hydra

The Avengers : Loki and the Chitauri army

The Winter Soldier : Bucky & Hydra

Age of Ultron : Ultron and his sentries

Civil War : Iron Man

Infinity War & Endgame : Thanos and his army.

That's an impressive feat that just shows that Steve is unique and honestly one of the greatest fighters in the MCU. The kid from Brooklyn to dumb to walk away from a fight is a living legend FB_IMG_1556279021404.jpg

I've also seen this as an alternative theory. Happy with either tbh.

Liked Caps role a lot here, thought Evans gave a great performance.

One thing I appreciated on both viewings though. I thought Evans was superb and totally convincing as old man Cap at the end, really good acting there.

As you can see Cap has always been worthy. And in the comics at least 5 times so far. Worthiness is a source of Will and purity as well as strength. Steve character has always been of valor and integrity .

Instagram has some phenomenal artist that sometimes blow the socks off the official release concept art by the studio.

These guys in particular have come up with some awesome artwork

Beware of Spoilers ahead..
