All masterpieces by one of the best duo's in comics, TIM SALE and JEPH LOEB!! Finally they are re-collaborating to make the book i've been waiting for most since reading their other work...

CAPTAIN AMERICA: WHITE!!

This is also the first of 'many' collaborations they will be working on in the future according to the interview! Great, great, news!

From Newsarama:

# A young girl in the audience asked Loeb when he's going to work with Tim Sale again. This led to a slide of a Tim Sale-drawn WWII-era Captain America and Bucky. Sale then joined the panel, with Loeb announcing that they're going to be doing Captain America: White. "It'll be the first of a number of things we'll be doing," said Loeb. "The rest, I can't talk about."

# "Captain America: White takes place in 1941," said Loeb. "It's going to be one particular mission that defines who the characters were." Sgt. Fury and the Howling Commandos will also be featured in the series. We're going to deal with a lot of Steve's relationship with Nick, and it's going to echo a lot with what goes on in present day."

# Loeb talked about the framing devices of Daredevil: Yellow, Hulk: Gray and Spider-Man: Blue, and how they're all characters in the present reflecting on the past. In Captain America: White, Loeb said that "it doesn't take place in 'our present,'" so not to contradict anything in the current Captain America, book, and "it's in a world where Bucky is dead."

# Sale then talked about the art aspect of Captain America: White. "It's going to be done in ink wash," he said, like several of the previous Loeb/Sale collaborations. "It's going to be a combination of Jack Kirby and Jack Davis," Sale said, "The all-Jack crew."

Meh. I'm sure it'll be great or whatever, but I'm not really that interested.

Wait for the trade. Mainly so it can sit on my shelf being awesome next to DD yellow, Hulk Grey, and Spidey Blue. (assuming Loeb brings his A-Game this time.)

I'll get the trade when it comes out. I'm a big fan of the other Loeb/Sale works I've read.

Yeah, I'd probably pick it up in trade myself. I kind of wonder why these comics don't just go straight to trade in the first place, to be honest.

Looking at Loebs recent work, he'll probably have Bucky sleeping with his sister, and Fury and the Howling Commandos trying to tell Captain America (who thinks this is wrong) that it's natural and a good thing.

But, if he manages to stop sucking for a few issues here, it could be great. I loved the other color books, but the man has fallen off. Regardless of Loeb, it has Sale's art, and that's enough for me to buy it.

He ain't been right since his kid died.

Agreed. He really should have taken more time off afterwards.

Would have been really excited if this was before Loeb turned into a hack.

I am curious as to when Loeb & Sale will find a character whose title doesn't fit into a color. ;)

I call it WE GET THE POINT: POLKA-DOT.

Loeb is still a good writer.......

Damn that was hard.

I do think Loeb has a couple of good stories left in him.

Wow, I heard about this comic almost 5 years ago I think.

IMO, Jeph Loeb is only really good when working with Sale.

Kind of like Abbott and Costello. Like, really, who gives a f*** about Costello if Abbott is nowhere to be found?

His recent work has been very lackluster, but if this turns into something worthwhile I'll buy the trade.

Really? $$$$$$

Wow, I heard about this comic almost 5 years ago I think.

Loeb's been talking about it for a while.

I remember hearing about this while I was at the local community college, and I transfered and graduated and have been graduated for about two years now. I think thats about seven years.

Glad he was finally able to do it. Love seeing characters in the Sale style too.

which of the color books are good?

I'm already avoiding Blue for the sole fact that I hate Spider-Man as a character.

DD or Hulk?

I've heard DD: Yellow is very good. Never read it myself, though.
