This is no Palin candidate ;)

I must say, I've been quite impressed with the interviews I have seen of her thus far.

I am very intrigued at the idea of a business mind leading the country. Her thoughts on education are quite nuanced as well. :o Could be an interesting candidate to look out for, especially as the republican field looks weak (well to me anyway).

I don't buy into this idea that a business person knows best and can run a country. Hoover was a businessman, haha. Truman was a failed businessman. Ike had no business experience yet balanced the budget and kept things peaceful for the most part.

This Fiorina sounds better in some cases like granting civil unions, being against criminalization of drug use. but keeping up the religious, spiritual mumbo jumbo to marriage acting like Christ himself invented it. And her attack on climate change as some liberal conspiracy in California.

No offense to her but I don't think people would be wary of a business person running the country since Trump has been demanding to be president for years now. :p

Speaking of which did he throw his hat in the ring AGAIN only to back out AGAIN yet?

I think so. I remember hearing something about him in the race but nothing recently that I'm aware of.

I don't think she has much to offer in a political capacity. Or anything else for that matter. She is running on her business record, which most businesspeople consider to be terrible. She actually got booed by hew own workers at company meetings.

A big part of her staying power in the primaries is the fact that she's the only woman among the Republican candidates.

It's a bit hard to believe that someone who laid of 30,000 workers and increased her own salary gives a damn about unemployment... or you know, people in general.

I'm not a fan of this "let's run a country like a business concept". But if we're going to try that, let's at least elect a good CEO.

Thank you because we are a country, not a business. At this point in time does anyone want a CEO for president? Aside from watering at the mouth right-wingers.

Whenever I see her on TV it seems all she does is complain about Hillary to point it's comical. I think she is basically going on stage for the specific purpose of attacking Hillary and since it comes from another female it doesn't seem as bad, beyond that she is looking for some other position elsewhere.

In all honesty if she wanted to be looked as a serious candidate maybe she should try winning another election first like for Mayor or congress person. The fact that the Republicans might allow 3 people on stage who have 0 political experience sort of demeans serious candidates

I'm not saying she is the choice, but she is an interesting candidate. The idea of a very good business mind in general would be an interesting approach towards the economy.

To be fair, Fiorina is a failed CEO :oldrazz:

Let's just wipe away every success pre-merger though aye? :o
Fiorina's tenure of HP is marked by its market value being halved and heavy job losses. Her problems with HP went way beyond the Compaq merger. Before HP, she really wasn't anything remarkable in AT&T/Lucent.

Honestly, why? Government is specifically meant as a counterweight to business. Our goal as a country should not be the same as a business. Educating kids is expensive, and not lucrative in the short term... but we do it because its necessary for the common good.
Government is in the service business. Feeding the sick, taking care of disabled and elderly, teaching our kids.... these things shouldn't be modeled after a private company. They need to be self sustaining, but they aren't mean to turn a profit.
Add that to the fact that most of these business types want to give everything to the private sector, which is a horrible idea. Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment... I want those things funded publicly, thank you very much. The government's job is to serve the people. A Private companies job is to garner profits for itself. There's a big difference there... and besides... isn't the number one issue that most people worry about, unfettered influence of corporations in our government?

In retrospect this is pretty funny.
