Ok, granted, it'll be weird; but Mel's absence doesnt mean that a great character should go to waste if there's a good story to be told.

No idea on the cast, but I had some ideas on the costume for the Whizzer... you know... if they put him in it:

Although i am not sure how I actually would like the costumes to look, I don't want Cap's uniqueness to be diminished by several costumed characters crowding his movie.
Maybe their costumes could look more like military type uniforms with minor modifications so that they don't really stand out or something.

well it would really count on what characters they end up using and if they have powers or not. Now for example if we get union jack no reason why they can adapt him faithfully.

I love the idea of either Tom Hardy or Michael Fassbender as Union Jack (i'm a Brit, so i'd really like to see him done well). Hardy seems to play crazy characters and villains quite well though (e.g. Bronson and Freddie in the tv show 'The Take'), so i'm not sure i see him doing it.

Spitfire could be someone like Alice Eve (who was in the running for Peggy Carter) or even Tara Summers from Boston Legal. Very English, really, really pretty, but with a real disposition for arse-kicking.

Namor the Sub-Mariner easily has to be the hardest to cast for me though. Zachary Quinto has quite a good look for the character, but i can't see it happening. Eric Bana is another one who could play the role, but i don't see him doing another Marvel movie after the awful first Hulk. And big names like these are guys are only going to do it if Namor has his own movie coming up.

And am i the only one who thinks that Sam Worthington could have been a really cool Cap? Evans had better be good.....

What about Jonathan Rhyss Meyers as Namor? He has the look most definitely, with those sharp features and pointy eyebrows, he wouldn't need any make up. And he is a decent actor when he something decent to work with.

Meyers is a good shout and as you said, he looks alot like Namor. I'm also guessing that the accent isn't a major stumbling block for the character, so really the actor could be from anywhere and not worry about it.

I forgot to mention Toro as well. But i suppose that is a character where they can be really open to options. That's if they can even include him in the film because of copyrights etc?

I don't think any of the Invaders apart from Namor are in any contract tie ups.

But even then, I think if they are used, it'll be a streamlined version of em. Only the bigger names you know?

yea i still doubt we will get namor. it will probably be spitfire/union jack/andriod torch maybe. Also i was thinking this over in the female lead, and casting thread. what if since peggy is a spy if she is also a member for the film's invader team. So peggy/steve/bucky will be 3 members. So then if the rumor of 6 members in total to have 3 more with union jack as one def, and the other two no clue.
