Cast the MCU X-Men/Fantastic Four

So you guys are basically saying you want Javier Bardem for Doom

Honestly, I can see that working. He maybe looks a little old for it, but he would have a mask on anyway, LOL! But, I think if he was the choice, he would embrace it and push it. Something the person who lands the role of Doom needs to be willing to do.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Armie Hammer would be a damn good Scott Summers.

I'm convinced Armie Hammer's agent has multiple SHH accounts.

A 6 foot 5 Cyclops towering over the rest of the X-men?

Oh, okay.

You're probably right.

I have no clue regarding the different accents over there.

Alan Rickman played in period dramas. Those kinds of accents are fine for dictator villains.

Clive Owen would be more at home in a gritty London gangster flick. That kind of accent isn't suitable for a monarch. It's more of a henchman accent. And Doom is no henchman or mere lackey!! :doom:

Fixed.

Which movie did you see with Lively? She was in great shape in the Shallows. And I'd hardly call her really flat. At all.

:atp:

No to Cillian Murphy as Doom. He looks like a more effeminate version of Tom Welling.

I actually like the idea of Murphy for Doom, he'd be a great get.

In my ideal world Daniel Day Lewis would play Doom.

At gun point if necessary. :doom:

Antony Starr - Wolverine
Pablo Schreiber - Sabertooth

Unfortunately that would mean DDL would take over a small Eastern European nation and rule it as a dictator.

Murphy would be a good Doom if only for those eyes peering out of the mask. Vincent Cassel would be a good Doom too.

Hasn’t Marvel sought out Viggo for some time now?

Professor X - Jason Isaacs
Wolverine - Charlie Hunnam
Cyclops - Armie Hammer
Storm - Gugu Mbatha-Raw
Jean Grey - Emily Blunt
Beast - David Harbour
Magneto - Viggo Mortensen

Mister Fantastic - John Krasinski
Invisible Woman - Kristen Bell
Human Torch - Dylan O’Brien
The Thing - Seth Rogen
Silver Surfer - Keanu Reeves
Doctor Doom - Javier Bardem

No way Emily Blunt or Viggo Mortensen ever do a superhero movie, especially one where they'll be playing a role already with two major movie incarnations on screen (quite loved ones too in Mortensen's case). But otherwise solid list of suggestions. I really like Armie Hammer as Cyclops right there and Kristen Bell as Sue Storm.

If Krasinsky is Reed then Emily Blunt has to be Sue. Duh.

Emily Blunt was totally on board for Black Widow (and Peggy Carter) but scheduling conflicts got in the way so I don't think superhero movies are beneath her in any way.

Viggo was almost Zod in Man of Steel.

Marvel’s got money to spend.

That was before Sicario and Mary Poppins Returns. I have a hunch that she will not do a superhero movie now, or if she does it will not be as a character audiences already have a preconceived notion about.

P.S. I actually think casting black actors as Charles Xavier and Magneto is a great idea. That would certainly differentiate it from the Fox films, and would hopefully mean Disney won't be eschewing the social aspects of the character.

With that said, I think Disney kind of will eschew the social aspects, and it would generally be for the best if they reboot to not use Magneto for a LONG time. So that is somewhat moot.

She might be interested if she was starring with John Krasinski.

Emily Blunt will be too big to be a co-star after Mary Poppins.

She will want her own franchise or GTFO.

height really doesn't mean much with all the different camera tricks and techniques used today

and he's actually a really good actor, definitely has the chops to play a character like scott.

robert downey jr is like 5'7 and stark is supposed to be like 6'3

who really cares about it, in all honesty.

Except they don't always use camera tricks to hide heights. You can't ever have a wide angle group shot of him standing next to others like Thor because he'll be taller than him.

He could be someone like Gladiator though.

I don’t get why people have such a problem with Hammer’s height :funny:
Seems like every time he’s suggested as a character, someone pops up to say he’s too tall.
