Cast the MCU X-Men/Fantastic Four

Reed Richards: Cheyenne Jackson

Sue Storm: Kristen Bell

Ben Grimm: Seth Rogan

Johnny Storm: Connor Jessup

Cheyenne and Kristen are great choices for Reed and Sue.

Still think Adam Scott could do a very likeable Reed, and I stick with David Harbour/Joel Edgerton/Shea Whigham for Ben. Nicolaj Coster-Waldau is still my perfect Victor (at least since it's too redundant and played out to cast Michael Fassbender at this point)

Byrce Dallas Howard is the perfect choice for Sue Storm.
Evans - Johnny Storm -> Captain America
BDH - Gwen Stacy -> Sue Storm

Another long shot: Richard Ayoade for Reed?

I've never heard of Cheyenne Jackson before. He seems to look more of a Superman type of candidate though. I guess he might work as Reed but seems a bit of a pretty boy.

What's his acting like?

Adam Scott looks like more of a villain.

Isn't Kristen Bell too old for Sue? She's already 37 and would be pushing 40 by the time the FF gets going. If people think 40 is too old for Reed, then how can a nearly 40-year-old Sue possibly be acceptable?

Blake Lively gets my vote for Sue.

Kristen Bell would have been great 5 years ago but yup, I'm getting aboard the Blake Lively train now, baby. Still think Annabelle Wallis could be a contender though - or alternatively, Cheetah, to go up against Gal Gadot's WW.

Also thinking about Laura Haddock as Mystique, if they decide to bring her back in some form.

No one who has ever read a FF comic in his life would think that

Well I don't think 40 is too old for Reed. In fact, sometimes some actors in their 40s still look too young for Reed. The better, more suitable ones are usually at least late 40s if not more. That's when they really start to have that Reed look about them.

It's more been people in this thread who have said Reed needs to be in his 30s.

Ioan Gruffudd looks far more suitable as Reed now than he ever did back in 2005 or 2007. It's a shame he's taken himself out of the running as he would've been great.

I hope you didn't run up to some random traffic warden on the street and take their pic and suggest them for a Marvel character.

That would be a way to avoid getting a parking ticket. Tell them you're a casting director and take their pic and say that you want to cast them in your movie, but you can't have any tickets outstanding in your name.

These traffic wardens are vultures though. One tried to put a ticket on my car even though the controlled hours had already passed a few minutes earlier and it was now free to park. He was hoping that he could still get away with putting it there, but I was standing around and saw him.

That's Wunmi she's extremely talented British actress. You may have seen her in Black Mirror. She was briefly in bvs too

It's not just age, different actors and actresses can act up or down the age scale. Kristen Bell is one that skews higher on visual age. But regardless of that, I honestly don't see her or Lively as the "Sue Storm type". Granted, I don't know if I've actually SEEN Lively in anything, she just doesn't look the part for me.

As for a director, I wouldn't want Taika. You don't need him to get Kirby influences. Brad Bird is kind of a cliched choice. I think Wes Anderson would be a dream choice, but it would never happen. Given their trend of snatching up new directors as they break out, Greta Gerwig could be a possibility.

Greta should direct and star as Sue.

Or, y’know, go with my idea for a Shane Carruth Fantastic Four with him as Reed and Amy Seimetz as Sue.

You haven't seen Green Lantern? :oldrazz:

Lively would be great. She seems to have the warmth and motherly thing that I'd want in Sue

Lively was great in The Age of Adeline and in The Shallows. If you also watch her interviews, she has a real warmth and bubbly personality. She could definitely play Sue.

Especially The Shallows where she was mostly acting by herself.

I watched her "73 Questions" interview and she came across really warm

The Shallows almost makes me want a solo Sue Storm film with Blake Lively fighting for survival. If FF were a TV series, they could totally do that. Unfortunately it's far too expensive for TV.

Somebody suggested that Taika Waititi should direct the MCU F4 given that he'll likely bring some Kirby into his movie like he did with Ragnarok.

Oh my gosh I would love that! Maybe theat would finally explain why the thing took on the form he didn't. Because he spliced with one of Korg's people.

I kind of like the idea of an older Sue. Make her the grand dame of the marvel u

I'll take your word for it :woot: I'm not really sold on her look for the part, but I'd be willing to give it a chance.
