I'd like Michael C Hall (Dexter) as Cyclops. He does subtle and analytical very well. Also he's 5'10" like James Marsden. Which isn't great when Wolverine's 6'3" but whaddya gonna do? More than anything, I'd like to see Cyclops plan something on his feet. The more desPerate the situation, the better. If he's blinded and cuffed and somehow manages to make his way back after counting footsteps, trick the bad guys into thinking they've recaptured him only to sPring a trap on them, reveal that he un-cuffed himself a while ago and take them out with a surgically fired optic blast aimed at a weaksPot in their base, that'd be perfect.
Alan Cumming made a great Nightcrawler although if they recast him I wouldn't mind terribly so long as the actor was likeable. Nightcrawler's gotta be pretty much the most likeable cat you'd ever meet. He sPent a lifetime fashioning a personality to make up for a demonic appearence. I'd like a scene where the X-Men are rescuing civilians from a disaster and Nightcrawler's trying to save a girl who screams in terror at him so quotes a line from Twisted Toyfare Theater; "Do not be frightened! I only LOOK like a demon! I'm actually a German!" And the girl screams. "Und a Catholic." She screams again. "Und sometimes I dress up like a Pirate." he says before teleporting her out. Also, he needs a swordfight. The great thing about Nightcrawler is that his combat skills don't always revolve around his powers.
