I don't read the comics but I'm aware of the character which would just come off as dumb in a live action film.

I've gone thru them. Her powers just seem silly.

she is the wielder of a guantlet that gives her protection against any enemy. the witchblade is constantly morphing and changing and growing, i think that is pretty cool. oh well.
