actually none of the people that played him look that much like bruce. bruce is suposed to have black hair and blue eyes and he's like 6'2. the only person that had black hair when they played him was michael keaton. clooney's hair was almost grey.
So your criteria is only hair colour?
Imho Bale has it. There is something about him. Yeah he doesnt have the square jaw or the appropriate height, but he has that darkness and intensity. He probably assaulted his mother for still being alive and not letting him become the batman. :awesome:

Private, temperamental, sullen at times...Bale's basically what a real life Bruce Wayne would be like. :word:

i ahve liked bale's bruce wayne/batman alot. also i did like keaton's too. Kilmer/clooney i am so so on.

Yeah, Bale is my Batman. The only person I could want more would be Clint Eastwood 30 years ago. I'm betting they would both be pretty similar.

The only hero I'm 100% on getting right appearance-wise is Superman. Tall, square jaw, black hair, blue eyes.

How about Jon Hamm as Green Arrow? (There used to be a GA casting thread, but it seems to have been deleted)

I would love to see what hamm could do at a hero or even villain.

I'm sick of all the early 20's prettyboys being suggested for every other role. I want some manly men in these, like Bale and even Reynolds I suppose. Hamm's only actually thrown one punch on Mad Men, but he's still intimidating. Whether you want him for Batman or Superman, it's undeniable he's perfect for SOMETHING. He'd be the Superman criminals would be as afraid of as they are of Batman.

Reynolds and even Bale started off as "pretty boys" and from what I've read around here, no one here knows what a pretty boy is, besides the obvious pretty boy actors.

Reynold's probably was, I've only started paying attention to him because of GL. Bale's never seemed like a pretty boy to me.

No one around here knows? Apparently you don't pay attention to 95% of the Superman suggestions.

Well, they tend to be **** suggestions, and the ones that aren't tend to have the look of a pretty boy all grown up. So yes, I don't pay much attention to the casting suggestions around here.

If it's not flavors of the week/month/year, its actors not right for the role. Only few are actual decent suggestions.

I never found Routh as 'pretty' but I think the Superman role requires it to a certain extent

With no other DC properties on the forefront except Batman GL and Flash, I'd say Hamm's chances of playing a DC hero are 100% non-existent now.

Well, maybe there's the hope he'll get to play a villain in Batman III.

yea a villain is likely a more likely role he could end up getting if he is ever even looked at by wb.

I brought up this point before its odd in the past like 30s-70s 20somethings had a much more mature look in them. But 20 somethings from 80s-now have that teenager look to them.

I've never considered Hamm for a villain... as much as I'd want him for Superman, I'd settle for having him in the next Batman or something. But who could he play? He shouldn't be wasted on some minor chump, like I heard he was in The Day the Earth Stood Still.

It wounld be very dumb to make Supergirl before they even get Superman himself back on track.

I think the ridiculous muscle Reynolds put on for Blade Trinity broke any "pretty boy" stigma for him.

yea swift is a talented singer, but i serious doubt a new supergirl film would happen when superman is still a mess for wb.

In other words, working out and putting on muscle can make a pretty boy pretty masculine; Yet a reason some people on here use for actors being suggested for heroes is them being too pretty boy-ish. Kind of ridiculous as well.
