Casting the DC Universe

Bridget Regan still holds a good place for Wonder Woman, dunno about Taylor Cole - never seen her act, where's she from?

Logan Lerman is a terrible choice for Tim Drake! Percy Jackson came off more as a teen hunk than a thinker who dominates his enemies with acrobatics. No, Lerman's a much better Superboy than Robin.

Matthew Fox would make a good Barry Allen or Superman if he's given the chance. But that's not exactly an original casting. BEN from Lost reminds me of BRAINIAC though.

But seriously - who would play the quintessential shamus of DC? No Slam Bradley casts? I figured if it would be Clint Eastwood or Mel Gibson - Willis reminds me too much of Sgt. Rock. Tommy Lee Jones shouldn't be an option since he probably wouldn't trust another DC production for his career. I always thought Gibson as a good Jay Garrick - dunno why, he just has that trustworthy Golden Age feel in his face (that's NOT considering his rep though, just his looks). I'm divided on who could play a good Bradley. Harrison Ford? Help me out here guys.

Lol, I'd love for him to play Darkseid, but he's only 5'10", Dennis is over six-four.

Plus, Michael could still utilize that epic voice as Freeze.

Darkseid is taller and bigger than any man, so i'm sure they'll use special effects to make the actor look bigger (like how they made Wood smaller as Frodo). Hell, Darkseid might not even be played by an actor at all and just be 100% CGI.

It would be easier to put the actor in a costume, then digitally enhance specific features.

Charlie Hunamm for Green Arrow

Well, I can see the resemblance anyways. :woot:

Although I think Justin Hartley has proven he could be a great Green Arrow as well. Also think Josh Holloway would be a good pick, but I could see him as The Sentry more.

I've been liking Katheryn Winnick for Black Canary recently

Dan Lauria would be a great Slam Bradley IMO

Honestly ,I dont care if she is in her 40's, Courtney Cox would still be perfectly acceptable for WW.

I agree. As lame as the Scream movies are, whenever she's on screen I imagine Lois Lane waiting for Superman to come save her from Ghostface. But in comes Deputy Dewey instead. Oh well, 1 out of 3 ain't bad.

Elite F50, I really like your cast suggestions. Nice touch to put actors and actress in there that are over 30 - I can live with a mature, "older" version for each character.

PATRICK STEWART FOR BRAINIAC

Can't post pics :( But you can always imagine. :P He could play the character in ANY incarnation and still pull it off. I am not saying it's because he played Prof. X (mind manipulator!) - Prof X and Brainiac are two very VERY different characters. I'm saying this coz he looks like Brainiac and can be one of the most intimidating disembodied alien/machine antagonists ever made. Plus, his rep as a good guy can only serve well to cast him as a villain. Much better than James Marsters.

JLA in the 60s

Superman: Gregory Peck
Batman: Clint Eastwood
Hal Jordan: Paul Newman
Barry Allen: Steve McQueen
Martian Manhunter: James Earl Jones
Aquaman: Robert Redford

I still Think Hamm would be good for a old school Batman, where the setting is similar to that of the Burton films. Not the gothicness but the retro setting. Especially because Hamm is fits prefectly in the retro setting (aka Mad Men). But i think he should be a Dark Knight Returns batman, where he's a little older so Hamm fits more. But Hamm is a solid choice for Bruce Wayne/Batman.

^Agreed, Hamm would be an awesome older Batman. For younger, how about Sam Witwer(first choice), Jeffrey Donovan(second choice) or Henry Cavill(third choice)? Nathan Fillion for Jim Lee-style Batman with Michael Trucco as Lee-style Superman.

Holy Miscasting! No Adam West?!

Wow, Nathan Fillion as Batman? As if he wasn't unbearable enough in that TV series I never watch - what was it again? Oh yes, CASTLE. Why, what's wrong with Christian Bale as a young Bruce Wayne? He looks damned well like Jim Lee's men.
