That kind of attention to detail has been lacking in most X-Men movies. That's why there was no mention of the Rogue/Mystique relationship, no mention of Mystique/Nightcrawler, Xavier/Juggernaut, Cyclops/Havok, etc.

I don't think its a lack of attention to detail. It just mucks things up and turns the movie into a soap opera. I'm fine with it not following the comics verbatim. Nothing translates to film perfectly.

Digging the new pic a lot more.

My issue with his look in the previous pictures is not that it's "not true to the comics" or anything silly like that. It's just that it's aesthetically displeasing. It's ugly. I get that it's the era and he's a "look at me" kind of guy, but you can accomplish that and still make it easy on the eyes.

I disagree, details especially in regards to interpersonal relationships, is an integral part of world-building. That's not to say I think that made those movies bad. I happen to think X2 is one of the best Superhero movies of all times. Just making an observation on what I consider one of the shortcomings of the series overall.

OK so I know there's no way of typing this without it coming off weird but... are there any other pictures of the adult film quicksilver (in costume of course)?

Ew, that quicksilver looks awful. The costume looks alright but they couldn't get someone like alex waters or something. I assume it's hetero so they don't need a good looking guy.

I'm just concerned that they might screw with the Pietro is magnetos son thing. I just have the weirdest feeling that's what's going on. Still keen for the movie though

Not that I'm aware of. Crave Online posted an article today letting people get a first look at some of the characters in the film and what the outfits are going to look like so I think that is the only picture that has been released right now.

Article be seen in the link below. Everyone looks accurate but some outfits seriously just couldn't work in a mainstream film (Quicksilver's outfit not being one of them).

It probably will not happen in this movie.

Magneto had a different look at the end of First Class but he was just not a supporting character in the movie.

Maybe if he appears in Apocalypse, he'd have a better look.

Based on recent pic I have two theories regarding the girls with Pietro

According to Peters and EMPIRE, Magneto has never met Pietro, he may not even know he produced a child(ren).

Magnetos name is Lensherr in the movies, yet there was a pic of a home with a Maximoff mailbox.

Theory #1

Pietro is an orphan who lives in a foster home of people with the surname Maximoff and these two children in the pic are other foster children.

Theory #2

Pietro could live with his Mother (Maximoff) and the two girls are his sisters. Neither are Magnetos children as he'd have to have impregnated the woman (with Pietro) then came back years later, been blind to her having a child and impregnated her twice more.

I understand where you're coming from, but how much of a world can you create in a film? If this was a TV series, I'd understand, but a film? It took years of comics to flesh out these relationships, there's no reasonable way to fit all the complexities into a 6 hours worth of films. Not even close. And then to make sure all our favorite characters are added... it just wouldn't be feasible. To just drop a "he's my brother" line would be senseless exhibition.
