>Eight years after its six-season run came to an end, Celebrity Deathmatch creator Eric Fogel and Wasteland Entertainment are behind the new incarnation, with Chris McCarthy and Paul Ricci also on board as executive producers.

>The new version will again feature animated no-holds-barred fantasy fights between infamous figures from entertainment and pop culture and will be reimagined for a social media world and hourly Twitter wars

Hope this sticks around, unlike new Beavis and Butthead.

I don't know, even though I'm the guy who likes things like South Park, Robot Chicken and Family Guy, I never found CDM entertaining at all. It starts off with one joke--Celebrity X and Celebrity Y imitated in claymation form--and then that one joke just gets stretched out for an entire segment.

Admittedly, the last time I watched this, I was probably 9/10/11, so I don't even know if I'd find it funny now. But I guess we'll see.

CDM was only funny occasionally when the celebrity pairs really matched and produced laughs. Most of the time it was mediocre and the jokes forced or hacky.

Like a lot of old MTV shows.

Well…. at least they attempted comedy. Now everything's fake reality show crap, which is even worse. :(

I'll take dated, somewhat forced 'Beavis and Butthead' over 'Teen Mom' or 'Catfish' any day. :o
