CFE, while I disagree with maybe a fair amount of your choices, all of your reviews were well-written and this must've been one hell of a side project. Major props, man.

So I've been bolstering my Sci-Fi chops as of late, and I recently watched the first two ALIEN films. (Yes, I know, I automatically lose ten nerd points for not having seen them until now) But I have to say, I LOVED Alien. It was amazing. The suspense was perfect, and the setup, the atmosphere, everything was awesome. Alien 2 wasn't as good, but still definitely entertaining.
I also watched the entire first season of Firefly and have just watched Serenity. I also LOVED Firefly, and it is yet another reason on my now very long list of why I absolutely hate FOX. However, upon watching Serenity...well, I thought it was all right. Not a bad movie, but
THEY F*ING KILLED WASH! I CAN'T FRIGGIN BELIEVE THAT THEY KILLED WASH! I MEAN....THEY KILLED HIM. DEAD! WHY?
Seriously though, I was extremely disappointed in that, and not just because I loved his character (which I did) but it was because I thought the death was cheap shock value. It didn't really serve the movie besides showing us "Hey, people die. Stuff's gettin real." And I've heard rumors of them possibly doing a sequel. Why kill off one of the best characters if you want to do sequels?
And again, I just didn't think there was any reason besides the shock value. And that just annoyed me. Whedon has an odd fascination with killing off good characters, but they're usually good female characters, and if I had to choose, I would have taken Zoey getting killed over Wash in a second.

You loose more points for calling it Alien 2 when it is infact called Aliens.
Also there will never be a sequel for Serenity, I think Whedon is over it. Although with Dollhouse gone and Whedon looking for new work he might start writing it but I don't think he could get all the cast back together, Mal is the lead in Castle.
