Chapter 24 - "Four Months Later" - Discussion Thread 9/24/07

In think the point was for him to sacrifice himself in spite of his power.....and the writers didn't know what to do with him.

ahahahaa, typo or Freudian slip? :o x 20

Heh. I noticed that, but didn't call you out on it. :o

I'd let Eden, erhm, annoy my meat, though.

[MC]She has huge freaky scary eyes like oh noes, though.[/MC]

Nobody with phasing powers should ever be shot lol. That's like Nathan dying outside during an earthquake.

But I get what they were tryin to do.

And Jack Rabbit- still didn't answer the "what shows do you watch and not complain about" question...

Because if- according to you- you consider those who like the show - in you own words- "brain dead," you must think you have a better taste than everyone else...

I don't need to validate anything to you.

You obviously took personal offense to my partial dislike of this show for some ****ing reason. That's your problem, not mine. If you're complacent with mediocre entertainment, so be it. That doesn't mean I can't speak my mind about it.

So go jerk off to Hayden or some ****, kthxbai.

And stupid.

Because, you know Nathan, Peter can fly too.:whatever:

I swear to god. What part of the phrase "I cant control my powers" dont people understand? Peter's freaking out about not being able to control his powers, and people are like "der! why dont he fly away!!!?!?".

I dont get it.

No, dude- just wondering what you consider to be good shows... 24, Prison Break, Lost- none of the above?

For some reason you seem hesitant to answer the question and btw "viewers must be brain dead" "train wreck in the making" "worse than SM3" is not partial dislike, lol. Unless you like to exagerate? Because taken from some of your posts, which may have just been exagerated remarks, the show seems to be an abomination to u.

Exactly! Everyone sees the point of it, but the sheer idiocy and illogicality of it cancel out any impact it's supposed to have.

Saw the episode tonight...definately seems like Season 2 is gonna be doing a whole lot. Now, this wasn't my favorite episode of the show, but I thought it was a good start, and it has me interested on seeing where Season 2 is gonna take us.

Though I wonder, how did Nathan survive? I thought he was gone in the finale.

LOST was a good show for as much of it as I've seen(Seasons 1&2). Freaks and Geeks, BSG, Carnivale, Nip/Tuck, Scrubs, Firefly.

Jesus ****, now drop it.

Nathan apparently, but I also thought it might have been Peter as well.

Actually, it was peter, pretty obvious too. Just a way of showing how he feels responsible for what he thinks is his brother's death, seeing his scarred brother looking back at him through a mirror.
This kind of literary effect has been going on for about 400 years, in stories as long as I can remember. Has nothing to do with Nathan having new powers or anything, just his self loathing for letting his brother "die".

Yeah, that's what I thought first time when watching it too- as a haunting image of guilt... I played with a similar concept in a virtual series I manage. And have seen it DOZENS of times.

But, when I come online and started hearing A LOT (majority) of people talk about that being Nathan and was seriously confused... "new power" "two face" etc.

Anyway to confirm who is right yet? Those who saw it as Peter or those who saw it as Nathan... this reminds me of Galactus in FF2.

And btw, only agree on two of those- Carnivale & Lost. Others, don't really know- but never got into Scrubs.

It was almost redeeming to see DL smush Linderman's brain though :D

Almost.:csad:

I was really hoping Parkman was going to eat it after what, five rounds in the chest? But no. I guess that man-flab did wonders, huh, fatty?:cmad:

Also--I'm up for a brutal murder of Molly. Anyone? Anyone?

That is how I saw it also.

I thought Nikki was gonna fling him out that window to his death. When he landed on the ledge, I was like "****!"

I wanna kill every little girl named Molly. Especially that brat from Runaways :cmad:

That's mean :csad:

Though I do think Sylar is one of the shows most interesting characters, I don't want to see that.

I don't know why she's so ****ing happy most of time. Your parents had their ****ing heads sawed off, where's the angst? Why so chipper? I don't get it.

Um, she gets to eat Rocky Road ice cream for dinner. She's in heaven!

I'm gonna send some Rocky Road to an orphanage. Maybe one of the ones where they get beaten daily.

Also must have been part of that four months.... why the leap, no idea. Just is what it is.
