Character Threads

There have been A LOT, and I mean A LOT, of Silver Surfer threads recently. Understandably, you wanna talk about every single little detail you can. But the problem is that the threads are getting WAYYY too cluttered.

That said, please chill out with the making of new threads, and use the character threads for a while, unless something is official [IE--Fox Announcement-Dave Russell cast as Silver Surfer]

So there goes my Vin Diesel speculation thread due to recent events of him backing out of 'Transit' which I think was relevent which had it's own poll. Is that somewhere else or did you delete it? If it was deleted does that mean only one poll can be posted for each character even though the polls are not connected in anyway? That makes no sense. If it's not deleted...I can't find it.

No, it was merged. The thread had been around for a few days, and the forum was in definate need of some tidying up.

I'm not immediately gonna close/merge a thread about a character if it's made to highlight a new rumour or something of the sort--that's not fun, or fair. I'll give new threads a few days to do get some interest, then merge into the character threads, to keep the boards clean.

I fail to see what the logical problem is. You're mad because your thread was merged into a thread that was specifically made for the exact topic you were discussing? What? Do you want the thread to be made by you, so you can have credit for a big thread? I seriously don't get what the problem is.

I'm not mad just liked my thread sticking out there with the separate poll to see if my speculation was correct. As soon as the casting was released the activity would have picked up big time if I was right. If I was wrong the thread would have dropped out of sight.

Damn thats a cool helmet. Did you make it up?? Well, no probably not, your going to say "OMG you dont know who CAPTAIN GORG is?!?!?! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING UNDER A ROCK?!!" and I'm going to feel like I dont belong. Like I don't have what it takes to be a true geekster.

I think sometimes (as what happend to me), a fan is totally passionate about what they just found out about a character, and they look quickly on the boards to see if they see someone talking about their subject and dont find it and quickly make a thread of their own. Only to find out later on that there was a thread already.

I'm a neat freek, but this is ridiculous. Yeah maybe merging threads would be cool. I dont know, that just takes a copy and paste right? I'll do it for you. No prob just lemme know. I dont mind cleaning up my own mess... lol
