New Trailer attached to '300'

New Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Trailer attached to WB’s 300! Written by Robert Sanchez Friday, 02 February 2007 Earlier today 20th Century Fox informed the IESB that the new trailer for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer will be attached to Warner Bros. 300 on March 9th.

There was hope that a new trailer would be available to be released with Ghost Rider on February 16th but due to heavy VFX work that has not yet been completed it was decided for it to be released with 300 instead.
Good news for Fan Four fans is that Fox is hoping to also release a third trailer and for it to be attached to Spiderman 3 coming out May 4th.
One thing is for certain, The Silver Surfer will “RISE” this summer, I’m stoked!.
On a side note, there’s a bad ass billboard featuring the Silver Surfer on Pico Blvd. close to the Fox lot. Very simple but yet effective, it’s a close up headshot of the Surfer with the word “RISE” in the top left corner.

This is indeed good news. With the 3rd trailer comming out May 15th with Spider-Man 3, a month before the FF opening, and the 2nd comming out with 300, in March. So December, March, and May. Nice breakup. SS being displayed at Fox studios ? No kidding. SS will be marketed much. He will be the main draw. Good or bad ?

I hope the 2nd and 3rd trailers only show glimpses of Doom. The last time around too much was shown in the trailers to the point of being able to edit them into an hour film. LOL

That was true for the trailers....but as far as the TV spots...it was like we got a glimpse at what WASN'T in the movie....

F42 attached to a movie that isn't going to perform well. I'm not trying to come down on 300, and it looks good, but I don't think it'll perform all that well. Could be wrong. I've seen quite a few movies and the F42 teaser hasn't been shown anything.

300 doesn't have blockbuster written on it to me. It looks to be on the same level as Hellboy. Probably a great film with a large size cult audience. If it makes over 100 million I'd be surprised. However FF would love to have the addition of that audience which comprises of a % of those who didn't like the first film and might assume this one will be more of the same w/out seeing a good trailer.

Its from Frank Miller the guy who made Sin City and a lot od people loved that. So i think this could be a good move here.

It's not like there putting it with that godawful norbit movie.

Sin City was awesome though and had an unbeatable cast. 300 doesn't have that cast or that kind of draw IMO. That doesn't mean it won't be an awesome movie. I'm just talking box office.
