New Trailer attached to '300'

And yeah, if I was responsible for the marketing of FF2, I'd take attachment to Norbit over 300 or Ghost Rider in a heartbeat.
Attachment with 300 and Ghost Rider is preaching to the choir. It wouldn't hurt, but it wouldn't be the multi-demographic exposure you get when you reach the huge family audience that turns out for films like Night At The Museum or Norbit.
On the other hand, I'd consider placement with Spider-man III to be essential, because it's so close to FF2's release date.

I'd consider key tv ad placements to be the final weeks of LOST, 24 and American Idol. And I'd make sure an ad focusing on Evans and Alba makes it onto the final episodes of Ugly Betty as well.

Preaching to the choir is exactly what you want to do. You market to the primary demographic as it pays the most dividends. Trying to go against the grain and market FF somewhere else "INSTEAD OF" doesn't make sense. I'm all for including "some" marketing in comedy films but only a small% of the marketing. 20% at best...however I'm all for marketing to the masses on TV series like 24, Idol, etc...

How so?
As long as the supposedly primary demographic is covered adequately?
Family audiences made up a substantial percentage of the moviegoers who went to see FF1.
You gotta hit the people outside the nerd box.

^ Oh yeah as long as the primary demo is covered then I'm fine. You said you'd attach it to Norbitt...OVER 300 or GR.

All three wouldn't be bad at all. As for the primary demo thing, well the comic demographic is small and no comic film would even have made it pass a 100 million if it was just that demographic going to see it. The mainstream is needed period.

I have no desire to see "300" or "Norbit" so in either case I would simply sneak in and out....go to another movie....either way I'd see it....

I can see why some would like it attached to "Norbit"...you'd be looking at a totally different demographic....but I think Spiderman will hit the demographic from A to Z....so "300" is fine with me....

Agreed....

Not to sound totally selfish...but as long as it's online at the same time I don't care what film the next trailer is attached to.

Why? To contrast the Storm's beauty with that of Ugly Betty's? :p

I do, because I like seeing it on the big screen before I see it online.....

I have no intention of going to see 300, just to see the trailer. I can wait till it comes online. 10 days till the year of Marvel kicks off with Ghost Rider. :woot: Then May SM 3, then in June.......well we know what opens then. :hyper: And I am planning on attending all 3, on their opening days. :yay:

Who said anything about staying for the movie....you go to the movies, buy a ticket to the movie you want....go in and check out the trailer, and go to your movie of choice....very simple.

300 i think will be one of the best comic book movie of the year personally and being attached to some class wouldn't hurt FF/SS

I think its a great movie to be attached with....

Yeah,i also think despite my lack of interest that sticking it with Norbit will get it out to the family audience that liked the first so you cover both bases, i mean none are Fox movies so it can probably be thrown in with more than one film

Nah, Norbit would have been fine as well.....as I see it....the more the merrier.....

Norbitt doesn't even look like it's gonna pull in any major box office $$$.

Ya never know....

As much as i don't wanna see the movie i know its gonna bring in money. Movie audienes aren't the smartest these days. I mean Epic Movie made 20 million opening week.

this is like Big mommas House 3 so people will see this like they saw that.

So will the new trailer come out first with Norbit or 300?

lol, 300 according to the article posted in the first post.

You would think a PG-13, family oriented, movie's trailer would be coming out with something not so rated R.

That was my initial thought.

I have no plans to see Norbit, but I'm amused by the snooty attitudes towards this harmless, innocous-looking film.
Rare is the superhero film that has anything more substantive to offer.

My attitude is not snooty, I just don't plan on seeing it....:o :oldrazz:

Honestly, the whole swimsuit scene of the stuff hanging over the suit.....ick.....that kinda, pretty much, turned me off of the movie.....
