New Trailer attached to '300'

It's not like there putting it with that godawful norbit movie.
(Just what we need another guy dressing up as a old lady. Like we haven't seen that before:whatever: )

Like we haven't seen people in spandex fighting other people in spandex before...?

I think the FF2 trailer could do a lot worse than be attached to Norbit. That thing's gonna open huge, I bet. (And to a much wider cross-section of the movie-going public than "300.")

And Eddie Murphy's made up to be a morbidly obese woman, not an "old lady."

Sin City was awesome though and had an unbeatable cast. 300 doesn't have that cast or that kind of draw IMO. That doesn't mean it won't be an awesome movie. I'm just talking box office.
Yeah but a lot of people are big folowers of his book and have been waiting on this for a while. You don't always need a top name cast to bring in the big bucks.

Look at FF. Not many people knew half of the cast was.

Jess,Julian and Chiklis were probably the names people knew.

Evans was just getting his name known and a lot of people here never heard of Ioan until FF. (Thats the only way i've ever heard of him)

FF appeals to a broader audience then 300 ever will. That's the only reason it did so well. I think the sequel will do much better because apparently it looks to be a much better quality film.

I wonder if they'll show it with Imax.
Can't wait for 300.

I haven't heard anything about FF2 on IMAX yet. All I know is Hulk better be on IMAX in 08.

I Think Retro posted the IMAX schedule, and FF 2 was not listed. :csad:

What does being on IMAX have to do with respect???????

Respect is earned and lots of movies don't get IMAX showings

Absolutely nuffin. ;)

Anyway, this is good news. And the main reason it is so, is because that means it will be available ONLINE. The fact that it's showing with "300" is really inconsequential since so many people will miss it anyway (lags at concession stands, not paying attention, finding seats, etc.). Let's just hope that the studio is able to stick to that date.

BTW: This "300" film is by Warner Bros. correct? So how can a FOX trailer be "attached" to it? Are we sure it's not just being included "in the can" for grabs?

Yes it is.Well before when i saw Batman Begins in 2005 they had a trailer for FF. and when i saw X3 last year i saw a trailer for SR. So anythings possible.

But they were not "attached".

Trailers can only be attached (Translation: the theatre must show it with every print) if both the film and the trailer are made by the same studio. EXAMPLE: The first FF trailer was attached to Elektra which meant that no matter how many screens in the theatre was showing the film, the trailer would be shown regardless.

When mixing with other studios' projects there is a high chance that the trailer will not be included on all of the prints; hence the reason you should check and confirm it with the theatre's Customer Service desk before taking a gamble in buying a ticket. Many fans have gotten burned that way.

I can only speak for here, all I can say is.....everytime it has been announced to be attached to a particular movie.....it was attached to that movie....so I'll be seeing it with 300.....lol

Yeah thats how it was for me. Everytime i've gone to see a movie for a trailer i've seen it.

Well this all stands on whether or not the article is true....

When I've seen an official Fox annoucement it has happened.....

I don't know that I would call this an official Fox announcement, but hopefully it is....and if so.....I'll be sneaking into "300" and sneaking out after the trailer....lol

Isn't it amazing, that it seams whenever there is a post by JAL, a few minutes later there is a post by JMA. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Like 2 peas in a pod. :woot:

Isn't it amazing, that most of your posts show little if any intelligent life....:woot:

Envey will get you nowhere. :oldrazz:

I envy knowledge, then I attain it if I can, so the envy is turned into knowledge.

I do not envy ignorance or stupdity.:o

Its from Frank Miller the guy who made Sin City and a lot od people loved that. So i think this could be a good move here.

Now how do you know Norbit is god-awful? I'm almost a 100 percent certain that Norbit isn't going to be a masterpiece, but it'll be a solid enough comedy that will probably draw a good sized audience. If I were to put money on which one would cross the 100 million mark it'll be Norbit. Could be wrong now, but I doubt it. The F42 trailer would benifit more then be hurt by being showed in front of Norbit.

Going for the niche audience I see, eh, Sue, Reed, Victor, Ben, Johnny, and Norrin? :cwink:

Hmm. I probably won't see 300 in theaters so, if this happens it'll be a net watch.

Completely agree.
Except for the "F42."
It's FF2.
