So, lately there's been a lot of posting about what may happen to Chloe. I figured we could use a thread all about how we would personally wrap up the story of Chloe.
Here's an interesting theory I read on the Kryptonsite forums...
Someone probably already posted that, but in the Comics, 'Charade' and 'Sacrifice' are arc's deeply linked with Maxwell Lord. In 'Sacrifice', Wonder Woman kills Max to free Superman from his mind control.
I don't think that it is a coincidence that we have Max Lord coming in a episode called 'Charade', and the following episode is called 'Sacrifice'. I mean, the second half of Absolute Justice was called Legends, which, if I am not mistaken, is the name of the Comic's Arc that introduces Amanda Waller.
Now, in the Comics, the aftermath of Sacrifice has both Batman and Superman criticizing Wonder Woman from killing Max Lord, and Diana being expelled from the Justice League. We know SV is not allowed to have Diana, and if they were, one of the things that made this arc so tragic, was exactly the close relationship that Wonder Woman always had with both Batman and Superman. Everything, in this arc, torns them apart. They both are unable to understand Diana's motivations, Batman is unable to forgive Superman for beating him up, when he was under the control of Max Lord, and Superman is unable to forgive himself.
We have 3 players with close friendship: Chloe, Clark and Oliver. Clark is Superman, Oliver is the Batman figure in Smallville, and Chloe could be Wonder Woman in this scenario. We know that Chloe believes the ends justifys the means. I personally believe that Oliver, now, would never take a human's life again. Everything he went through taught him this is a line that shouldn't be crossed. I can see Chloe making that choice, and I can see the impacts this will have on their friendship.
Maybe I am way off with this speculation, but those titles can't be a coincidence, IMO.
So what do you all think will happen to her? Another poster at K-site said that Allison Mack has always planned to leave after season nine. Any truth to that?
