lol at the choices, I'm surprised no one put Guy Pierce, Jim Caveizel, and more actors from Buffy and Lost.

I said him several pages ago. He has the right build for the part, Around the same age as Norton as well. Pearce and Copley to me have the look for the part.

I still wish it hadn't come to all this obviously:csad:

I would like to see David Duchovny in the role or...Tobey Maguire.:woot:

I know lot of peoples see him again like Spider-man, but I think he can do a great Bruce Banner too.

I think I read years ago that he was supposed to be Banner in TIH before Norton got involved.

Anyways, I like Duchnovy but not as BB... He's not scrawny enough.

I think David Tennant would be a good Norton. The only movie Ive seen him in was Harry Potter but he played a very convincing role there. I think hed have the acting chops for it.

Tennant's a great actor, he'd make a good Banner but I want him for Pym.

Isn't Fillion gonna play Hank Pym? At least that's what we heard.

BTW, if Copley doesn't get Banner, then David Tennant is my back-up choice!

I thought that was just a rumour, If not that's cool. Fillion'd be a great choice.

I personally want Jim Carrey for Banner. I sounds like an unlikely choice when you first hear it but it makes sense the more you think about it.

I had never thought about Duchovny but I think that is a great choice. Fillion, I think, is too big and too good looking, which I think makes him a better choice as Pym. Banner needs to have that disshevled, harried look about him that I think Duchovny does well.

Heh, I've wanted to see David Duchovny play Banner since before Ang Lee's movie. I wouldn't complain.

EXCLUSIVE: Imagine the Hollywood actor whom you'd least expect to play The Incredible Hulk in The Avengers, and maybe, just maybe, you'd come up with the name of Mark Ruffalo. He's always been an actor's actor and is getting critical raves in Focus Features' The Kids Are All Right which oepned last weekend. But I've learned that he's now in late-stage discussions between Marvel and his brand-new agency United Talent to play this key member of The Avengers ensemble. Like Edward Norton, whom he'd be replacing, Ruffalo would bring real chops to the role. But, unlike Edward Norton, he wouldn't an on-set *******.
Meanwhile, let me get out of the way that Thor (May 6, 2011) and Captain America (July 22, 2011) will be in 3D. They were filmed in 2D but the plan has been for th visual effects to be rendered in 3D for Capitain America while Thor will undergo more of a traditional conversion. Kevin Feige is going to great lengths to ensure this isn't just a botched rush job. OK, enough with that.

Ruffalo's an actor I sort of admire more than I actually like, but he's a solid choice...

I like Ruffalo as an actor. His work is understated. Still would rather have Norton but I think Ruffalo is an offbeat choice that could work.

I was just thinking of suggesting him the other day too...

Ruffalo....I should have thought of that beforehand. He's not so heartthrob-ish looking that he couldn't be Banner, nor is he so gawky looking that you vomit at the sight of him.

If it happens, it would be the best piece of casting Marvel has done since RDJ as Tony Stark.

I am starting to dig Ruffalo as Banner, that could work out great. He does rough and disshevled pretty well and he doesn't seem to have a threatening personality which is what you want for Banner. He needs to be unassuming and vulnerable to contrast with the power of the Hulk.

RDJ without his Tony Stark goatee kind of looks like Bill Bixby. If he weren't playing Stark he could've been Banner. Maybe he could play both roles and play opposite himself, but give two totally different performances so that they look like two different actors. After all, who else could hold his own against RDJ but RDJ?

I would've preferred Buscemi, but I'd be happy with Ruffalo.

Mark Ruffalo is a pretty good choice and I'd be up for it despite the fact that his body frame is a little off for Banner. Otherwise, good choice...just still disgruntled over the whole Norton thing.

I like this choice. Ruffalo has been solid in everything I have seen him in.
