As other people have said, I'd tell her to just pray to God for forgiveness. And if she's Catholic she could go to confession I guess.

I was forced to go to confession during confirmation. It was hard to tell the preist anything because he likes us to face him. Plus the door was wide open and tons of people were there to hear me, so that didn't help either.

That kind of goes against the entire point of the confessional.

On another note - the day they asked me to go through confirmation was the day i stopped going to church.

I've never done confession behind the screen. I liked talking to the priest. Mine sounded a lot more private than yours though

Hi im having a very hard time now. I'm a christian who told a girl in my youth group that i liked her this summer and asked her out. I got the "Let's stay friends" thing and was heart broken. I've tried hanging out with her since just to make things normal like they were before. She became a christian this summer and last week i guess she went to a party got drunk and lost her virginity and she is devistated. Ive talked to her and tried to go get coffee but she is to devistated i guess because she hasnt shown up. Im really heart broken over this and im trying to get some advice for this. Please be Kind! I dont really feel like getting mad at anyone today.

If you want to really help your friend tell her to convert to some other religion that isn't Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. She might see that having sex is not wrong.

first of all, alcohol is impersonal and it cannot make a choice. now she obviously did choose to drink which was her fault. so whether directly or indirectly, it was still her fault. she made the choices and could have prevented them.

and i agree with celldog to a certain extent. this board is not the place to be discussing a personal matter like this.

Sometimes nothing happens when you're drunk. Listen, I'm not saying that she couldn't have been smarter. I'm just saying that she shouldn't blame herself because, while drunk, she wasn't entirely responsible for her actions.

Basically, all you can do is tell her that, well, life goes on. She's not a virgin anymore, and however she had planned on losing her virginity ain't gonna happen. But once she tries to move on, she'll probably find that it doesn't have as huge an impact on her life as she'd think.
