Hi im having a very hard time now. I'm a christian who told a girl in my youth group that i liked her this summer and asked her out. I got the "Let's stay friends" thing and was heart broken. I've tried hanging out with her since just to make things normal like they were before. She became a christian this summer and last week i guess she went to a party got drunk and lost her virginity and she is devistated. Ive talked to her and tried to go get coffee but she is to devistated i guess because she hasnt shown up. Im really heart broken over this and im trying to get some advice for this. Please be Kind! I dont really feel like getting mad at anyone today.

The guy didn't really ask a question, there's a lot of information in that post, but not really a question. Just "what should I tell her as a Christian about this". Praying doesn't bring back her virginity, also talking about it to someone that recently asked her out might not be something she wants to do.

Well it was only 5 pages long. Reading the thread before you ask 15 questions that were already answered might have been a good start.

And just read most of the posts already. None are giving him sound Biblical advice. Which causes me to ask is he really looking for answers. What kind advice of counsel does he expect from here?? Sorry, it's hard for me to buy the sincerity in this story.

Legally, a woman cannot consent to sex under the influence of alcohol. Or atleast that's how they made it sound in the presentation I had to attend.

There does reach a point at which someone cannot consent, but someone simply 'under the influence' is capable of consenting.

Alcohol does not excuse you from your actions. In the same way that you can't get out of being charged with vehicular manslaughter because you were driving under the influence of alcohol, you can't claim you were raped after the fact simply because you were under the influence.

Now if she was passed out, or nearly so (so much that she really can't speak properly, for example), that would be an entirely different story.

Believe me, I totally agree with you, but you should have seen this presentation. They outright said that a girl that is legally drunk cannot give consent although a if the guy is also legally drunk he is a rapist. It didn't make an sense at all to me. That post was semi sarcastic but I doubt anyone else would have gotten that. My bad
