Sorry if you've seen this. I just read it on IMDB and if it's true, it's very touching.

===================

"At first, I was somewhat hesitant to do the role. I mean, after all, Batman is an icon. But I remember, as clear as day, being at the grocery store the day the movie opened, and this little boy saw me. He couldn't have been more than five years old. He just walked right up to me and hugged me. He hugged me, and I was so moved by it that I hugged him back. Then he looked up at me and said "You're my hero." And in that moment, I knew that not only as an actor that I had done my job, but that I had made the right decision to play Batman. And I've never looked back on my the decision to play Batman since."- On his decision to play Batman

I think i'd have done the same thing as that little boy. He's freakin' Batman.

Wow, I've never read that before, very good quote.

Nice quote, kinda boderline corny lol but still he's being honest about it

Yeah I read this before but it's nice quote from Bale.

:up: Man wouldn't you have loved to be that kid. If I was 5 and got to see and talk to Batman, wow.

Lucky kid. I've love to met Bale, he's my acting hero. BALE FOR KING OF EARTH DAMNIT!

Read that awhile ago, the quote solidifys all that is good about Bale

I think that is just the sweetest thing!
The quote reminds me of when tobey maguire was on some late night talk show and talked about how this little kid actually thought he was spiderman and asked him about everything like from aunt may to how he spins his web and stuff...and tobey maguire would reply to every question as if he were really spiderman. I thought that was pretty cool.

Makes me think Bale will still with the role and Batman and not be afraid of himself being known as the bat. Good sign for the future.

It, the quote, also made me smile.

Kind of negative, and thats is also far fetched... WB would not go down that road again. At least I hope not.

That is great. I like hearing stories about stars who don't act like asses all the time.

I read an article in a "60 Years of DC" book I have that George Reeves (the original Superman) hated meeting his young fans because they would "test his invulnerbility" by kicking and punching him. You can imagine where crotch-tall children would hit him.
