Christian man forced to reproduce lesbian videos

Addendum said:
It wasn't because of who she likes to ****. The film or videos she wanted duplicated were something that went against the beliefs that the company was founded on.

A business is under NO obligation to take all the job offers that come it's way

I beg to differ.

so we, as civilised individuals, fight to get the law changed . someone has to be the first. whether its Rosa Parks sitting on a bus, or this woman (and its more than possible that this is the exact reason she has gone to this particular company), some one has to take a stand.
Bull****.

There is no law that states a private business must take every single job offer from a client.

Then we differ.

It doesn't mean **** anyway, since this discussion on a internet chatroom will have no bearing on the case in any way

so it would be acceptable for him to turn work down on the grounds that the customer is black?
or disabled?

I have brown eyes, should he refuse to work for me?

There is no connection nor comparison, since the company in question is faith-based, not racist

What if there faith tells them blacks are the tool of Satan?

Fred Phelps thinks that.

That old ****er doesn't represent all of christianity.

I'd think another atheist would have enough brains to realize that

Who gets to decide what's too much?

You?
The President?
Congress?
You can hate homosexuality all you want, but it's legal.

I dont think he represent all of christianity.
But neither does this guy that runs the video company.(represent all of christianity)

anyway, racist, homophobic. i dont see a difference. still discrimination.

I don't hate homosexuality, nor do I think that a religion that considers it to be sinful hates those who are homosexual.

That inbred ****er from Topeka, Kansas is nothing but a mental defective

I despise zoophilia, but in some cities it's legal. If I own a photo company that deals with a zoophiliac I have to accept his business. Or I could face a fine or possibly jail time.

There isn't a law that states you have to accept all job offers from clients. You aren't employing them. They're hiring you, and you can refuse their business.

Hey I'm okay with it but then I don't see why a business owner should accept a job offer from a black man if he is a member of the KKK after all it's his believe that he as a white is superior.

Haven't you ever heard of "Equal opportunity employers"?

It is illegal to discriminate against race, creed, gender and sexual orientation.

This thread is dead, since everyone is repeating the same **** over and over and over...

Since when is a client, the same as an employee?

Companies are not required to take every job offer that comes their way.

The client is the one paying the company

They might not where you're from.

They are in the US.

Check wikipedia.

I'm in the States.

There is no law that states companies have to take every job offer.

As much as I like wikipedia, I don't consider it a reliable source

Simply because you can't come up with an argument that holds under closer scrutiny.

It all boils down to "when your motives are religious you have a right to ignore the law of the land"

The problem is, that is completely untrue you're not allowed to excercise all religious practices so law IS in fact interfering with the free exercise clause and therefor there is no legal leg to stand on if you ignore anti-discrimination laws on the basis of "religious values".

I've not seen any evidence of a law which states business must take every job offer that comes their way

You're looking at it from the wrong perspective. It's not a law that says "take every job offer"

It's a law that says "no discrimination against race, gender, religion and sexual orientation"

If the Guy would have simply said "No we don't take the offer" all would be okay but nooo he had to be cocky and show them what a brave and moral christian he is, telling them " Your lifestyle goes against my believes and therefor I don't want you as costumers". Well, an idiot gets what he deserves so I have not a single shred of pity for him.

Look it's quite easy, I don't like religious people, be it muslims or christians, so I don't do business with them but I don't run around telling them "I don't want to be employed by you because your religion goes against my values" I simply say" I'm sorry but I'm currently not avaiable to do your work please go to someone else."
