I'm really excited for this one. A large chunk of my early childhood in the early 80s was spent at my grandmother's, and there were always lots and lots of kids Greek myths books and stories left behind there by my various aunts & uncles which I loved reading. And then going hand in hand with that, the TV would always be showing Hollywood's take on Greek fantasy movies which were popular in the 60s and 70s - Jason and the argonauts, the Minotaur, Perseus the Invincible, Hercules, etc. Many many memories of watching them over and over.
Cut to the modern day and I'm equally as entranced by some of the films Nolan has made. Interstellar is in my top 3 movies. So I'm optimistic that a combination of his sensibilities, a decent budget, a good cast and the epic nature something like Homer's Odyssey itself could make for something amazing.
