Fantasy Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey

I may give it another watch but Tenet is simply too incomprehensible for me. And despite Nolan's comments on the matter, I wasn't able to enjoy it.

Get high first. Seriously, I watched it sober the first time and couldn’t make sense of it. The second time though I took an edible and it all made sense to me.

Which is hilarious because usually when I’m high, I can’t follow the plot of anything longer than a Pitch Meeting video.

Tenet is honestly the worst movie I've seen in over a decade. Like for a director of Nolan's reputation, it's shockingly inept.

Of the Nolan films I've seen, which is all of them except Following, I'd rank Tenet near the bottom but even then I wouldn't call it a bad movie. I'm not a fan of the plot but it's very well crafted. I probably would have enjoyed it more in IMAX but alas, it was pandemic times and I didn't know it would be rereleased in theaters.

The plot is too incoherent to be well crafted. And so many of the movie's elements just don't work. I think some fans just don't mind that it doesn't work.

By well crafted I mean the action setpieces, the acting, the score, cinematography. No matter how you feel about the plot, the plane crash sequence for example is incredible.

Yeah, I know what you meant...

I don’t think it was awful by any stretch, but it did feel to me like Nolan looked at all the people who complained that Inception was too confusing and thought to himself “Challenge accepted.”

I need Pattinson to be the Cyclops.

We know he likes "weirdo" roles, so ... I could see this happening.

The cyclops is going to have to be based on someone's performance anyway.

Holland as Odysseus toward the beginning of his odyssey, Pattinson as Odysseus toward the end of it.
I'm sure he is probably a smaller role but Pattinson as Odysseus would have been unbelievably note perfect casting. Damon is cool too but Pattinson is way closer to how I picture Odysseus.
