Chuck (NBC)

A pretty good episode, Jeff & Lester's Haunted House set up was pretty goofy. Did anyone notice how the Buy More is still selling HD-DVD Players?

Dear God, your avatar :barf:

Oh, haven't noticed. Clearly a Universal thing. Makes no sense...

I thought the haunted house part was a bit cheesy but it was still a good episode. I wonder where the story line is going.

If anything, I think Chuck's mom is going to truly be a heel and Beckman is going to be nice to Chuck. They clearly have an arc intended for her (otherwise, why make her a regular?), she's been doing little things lately (telling Chuck she is proud of him, stuff like that). I could see her having a surrogate mother moment with Chuck.

Idk... While Beckman's character is certainly due to, well, do something... Linda Hamilton's going to wind up being a good guy. It's Linda Hamilton! :woot:

There's gonna be plenty of "is she evil, isn't she evil," kind of stuff going on, but I have no doubt that she's ultimately going to be on Chuck's side. They played up her reaction to Ellie's pregnancy way too much (and too soon, really).

It works because it has really subtle parallels with Chuck and Sarah's relationship too... Chuck is much more up Orion's alley, Sarah's occasionally cold, down to business demeanor is a lot like Mary's.

That whole bit was one of the funniest moments I've ever seen

Timothy Dalton still looks vicious. And Morgan...sigh. :funny:

Timothy Dalton as the season's big bad = huge, huge win. :woot:

Did Chuck just get de-Intersected? Or turned into something else?

OMG the twist and turns in this episode are just out of this world . Is Mary a good spy or an evil spy ?

That still remains to be seen at this point... though I'm still leaning toward her being "good" in her own way - she's trying to do something bigger than just take-out Volkoff, and has to stay in his graces.

I mean, she's obviously not outright "evil" - she saved Chuck and Sarah and completely hid all evidence of her two children from Volkoff (there's a huge plot hole on that point, but Chuck is full of plot holes).

The bigger question is what did she do to Chuck? She did it before Volkoff showed up, and he couldn't have ordered it since it wouldn't make sense to waste time doing that to someone that was going to eat it. Plus, she said Orion never wanted Chuck to see it.

An upgrade? The "true" Intersect? One that'd allow Chuck to permanently absorb the data?

Stephen leaves behind another Orion Super computer that probably has an upgraded Intersect under the seat of the car. Awesome

I hope when that's explained they get into it a little bit... seems odd that he'd have the foresight to leave a mustang-mega computer laying around on the off chance that our heroes ever needed it.

Haha, and honestly with all the ups and downs the episode took, I wouldn't have been totally shocked if Scott Bakula was sitting in the mustang.

I was expecting Ellie to have the Intersect inserted into her head from the car at the end. Now THAT would have been a huge twist.

Where exactly was that the car this whole time? Just sitting out in the open, with the top down, keys in the ignition?

Maybe momma B did her own version of the intersect or she could have deactivated the intersect but did she truely know that Chuck already had the intersect in his head? Maybe the intersect was meant for Ellie all along but Chuck accidentally downloaded it into himself when he was a young boy.

Timothy Dalton was awesome. He's one of the best guest stars this show has had.

Chuck downloaded the intersect from Bryce Larkin.

She said last week that she "knew everything there was to know" about Charles Carmichael - and she obviously knows about Orion's work, so it's safe to assume she knew exactly who the Intersect agent was.

The "something your father never wanted you to see" line has me perplexed, otherwise...
