I just don't want the series to end on a cliffhanger.

I think if it gets renewed. Everyone should go in thinking that it will be the last season. End it where it will make a good series finale, but still leave enough open so that if a 4th season happens they can continue.



They should just stick with 13 episodes. Tighter story with less filler is the way to go.

I think 13 episodes would fit money wise, but I disagree that a fill slate means 'filler.' The tighter pacing this year has led to more glaring plot holes than normal, a lot less time to breathe And let the characters develop naturally, and not enough good Buy More stuff. Maybe the producers would learn from this year... Because it's felt more rushed to me than anything else.

They did write this season as a possible last one, just in case.

But at the time it got a season 3, Jay Leno was going to suck up five hours of prime time a week and NBC was slightly better off.

Now, not only is NBC's ratings even lower, they need to fill those five hours up again. And Chuck was able to maintain/improve ratings while slashing its budget, which should make it a more attractive prospect.

Well if thats the case and it gets them another season then I'm all for it.

also; I love the Awesome/Morgan/Casey trio I really hope we get to see more of that.

They did write this season as a possible last one, just in case.

No, no they didn't. Josh Schwartz has gone on record recently promising that the end of ep 3.19 has even more twists than the Season 2 finale and in no way provides any kind of end or resolution to the story. And Ausiello is reporting that a major death and a pregnancy highlight the closing arc of the season.

So basically... If the show gets canned, it's going to get cut off with a horrible cliffhanger that'll never get resolved.

Hence my growing fear that the show is going to get canned. If it was going to end with an ambiguous episode that could well function as a finale I wouldn't be so worried.

Great ep (vs the American Hero).

Didn't really like the part were Morgan and the others ruined Sarah And Shaw's date. Very lame. Chuck should't have gone along with that. Bad form Bartowski. But other than that, lots of things to like. Loved Brandon's performance.

That said, the date intervention was a little goofy... but that's what this show does best - keep things light, humorous and all around fun. The scene was classic 'Chuck' from start to finish.

There's a heckuva lot going on in that promo, and most advance reviewers have called it by and far the best episode of the year, and put it on the same level as Chuck vs. The Colonel and Chuck vs. The Ring (the two eps that most critics call the defining moments in the series run).

I understand why they did it and I like some of it, but it only makes Chuck look like a jerk and not a very nice and classy guy to me.
