Cindy Sheehan protests and destroys DEMOCRAT PRESS CONFERENCE

I never thought she was a "pupped of the Democratic party", I think she has a very specific agenda and goes after anyone who gets in the way of it. My heart goes out to her for her loss and I applaud her trying to turn a tragedy into an activist victory, but I think she's gone a bit insane in her quest.

It doesn't sound like she "destroyed" anything in that story. It seemed more like they just gave her the microphone...

I caught the video on the news. She very much so destroyed it. Emanuel tried to speak several times and each time he was cut off (it was seriously like the part of Austin Powers when Scott tries to talk to Dr. Evil. "Zip it!"). Eventually he got frustrated and postponed the conference.

Interesting. Well, everyone was quite considerate to allow her to take the mic and address the reporters at that point. I think she's a bit looney-toons, but losing a loved one will do that to you. :(

I guess she realized people had nearly forgotten about her. She had to do something

I find it strange that she would protest Democrats when they have not even been in office yet.

She likes her fame, obviously.

I never understand those "she likes fame" comments.
seriously, how exactly are you a " silent activist"?
or an unknown one? doesn't hat just mean you're not very good at it?

Oh, I just think activists are wastes of space, that's all. :)

I never took her for a Democrat Puppet - I don't think the Democrat Party would ever ally herself with someone that extreme.

I have always thought of her as I think of Pat Robinson and Michael Moore:irritating, extreme and worthy of being ignored.

So you'd pretty much just prefer for rich, white, old men to sit around and make laws with no outside imput?

Meh, I don't think she is that bad. I understand her motivation anyhow.

Why do they have to be white? ****ing racist.:cmad:

At first I sympathized with her on account that she lost her son and no one deserves that. But then she became a total press ****.

She's not a puppet of the Democratic Party. She never was. She's just an extreme attention ****e. When Hurrican Katrina came, she complained that the news was focusing too much on the destruction on New Orleans. She has insulted numerous families who have lost loved ones in Iraq.

Anyone think she was paid to do this on purpose?

She crossed the line into blind fanatacism a long time ago.

I find it disgusting that anyone who actually exercises our right to protest and takes a stand for something passionately is made fun of and put down as being insane, delusional, blindly fanatical etc.

Cindy Sheehan should be a hero. I think it says something negative about the national character of today's America that shes treated the way she is, even though a large portion of the public basically agrees with her on the war being a mistake and that we should get the hell out of there.

How un-American of you.

I am heartbroken by the mindset of the typical American these days.

funny how to some of you when she protests the GOP it's good, but when she does the same to the DNC she "went to far".

Partisan hacks...

When she complains that the tragedy of the Katrina victems are getting too much coverage and that her story is more important.....then she has crossed the line into blind fanatacism.

...What the hell are you talking about:huh:

The climate in this thread is hardly one of "She's gone too far".

Did you even read the thread, or has your brain just bludgeoned you into percieving every political thread as FILLED with partisan hackery?

Yee-IKES.
