How do you think Jor-El will earn Clark's trust and become the person he goes for guidance when he's older.

i'm not sure if it'll be some big thing that will happen. it's more of a slow process. we've already started to see Clark think that maybe he's been wrong about Jor-El at the end of last season. i think that over time Clark will learn to trust his father

Clark is going to realize finally, The only way to fullfill his DESTINY, he must listen to his father Jor-EL . [Jor-EL is the only one that can help Clark finish his training] I think when he returns from The Phantom zone and see how much damage was cause to the planet Earth because of his disobedience once again, He will finally Listen to Jor-EL .[and in time will see him as his Father]

^^^ I dont really think Clark's problem has been disobedience. But Clark wants to make his own choices, as Jonathan repeatedly told him throughout the seasons.

You have one father saying - obey me, do what I say, you have to or there will be consequences.

You have another father saying - you always have a choice, I've taught you to do the right thing and you will make the right choice.

Clark will probably find that he needs to fall somewhere in the middle of the advice from both fathers.

Had Clark listen to Jor-EL the very first time [In "Exodus"] none of the events that caused him great pain would've happend.

Why would he listen to a voice coming from a spaceship that he believed wanted him to conquer the world, when he has been brought up to believe in the good of man and people have the right to make their own choices?

If Jor-el had tried a different approach, then maybe Clark would have been more receptive.

But, he learned from the pain and it changed him a bit.

Jor-El said last season "But remember, the lessons that we learn from pain are the ones that make us the strongest."

And that little encounter that Clark and Jor-el had at the end of Season 2 was only a test to see if Clark was ready to take on the responsibility that he had been sent to Earth for.

Clearly he wasnt ready, which is why Jor-el allowed Jonathan to bring him home.

Personally, unless they devote a HELL of a lot of time to it and pull off some damned miracles in the execution, I'm not sure I'll ever buy it.

They tried too hard in Seasons 2 and 3 to make Jor-El seem ambiguous, to make the audience believe the possibility that he could be a.) evil b.) an imposter, or c.) an evil imposter. Now that they want to try and form a loving father-son bond between Clark and Jor-El, it's going to take some jumping through hoops because they've kind of written themselves into a corner.

The things taht got on my nerves is in memoria tehy couldn't show krypton. Because of superman returns. Now i've seen it. And they didn't even show Krypton.

DeKnight told us that Al and Miles have something in the works to explain that, so hopefully it works out, because it's going to be hard for them to do.

We saw Krypton in the opening credits . And we saw Jor-EL in The FOS

yeah, we saw krypton, but not full krypton. I mean it cwouldn't have hurt to have a bit of background instead of that purple swirly thing.

That's okay, I think it probably wouldn't have looked that good considering the budget anyway...

...plus, I was never a fan of the film version of Krypton (which is what an SV Krypton would've been based off of most likely). I don't like imagining Superman's homeworld as a mostly barren ice world.

I agree with you but i understood their point of view: like the planet, kryptonians could seen almost as an emotionless people when compared to humans.

Another point would have to be the budget back then: probably that was one of the most economical solutions to represent Krypton back then.

I actually prefer Superman: the animated series version of Krypton, not being so cold, not so emotionless.

Nevertheless, since season six will have a Phantom Zone story arc, I would love to see an episode with scenes of Krypton: Jor-El and the creation of the Phantom Zone, Zod being imprisioned there, Lara.

Tom already played Jor-El, so they only know have to get hguest stars for real Zod, and Lara.

i kinda like the emotionless cold version of krypton from the movie. it kinda make sense for the purposes of the FOS and why it looks like it does.
