Classic Films You're Embarassed to Admit Not Seeing

Braveheart

It's weird, Braveheart is the one everyone around me has seen and not me. I got to get on that. Because Gibson is a great filmmaker and he's impressed me with two of his films.

Definitely worth seeing if the epic genre interests you at all. It pretty much revitalized epic filmmaking.

Do y'all mean "Taxi DRIVER"?

Cause Taxi is a ****** comedy with Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah

I haven't seen Braveheart nor Forrest Gump, and I really have no desire to.

I will be watching M and 8 1/2 for the first time this week, so I'm excited about that.

This thread has given me alot of movies for me to put on my watch list.

I've only seen The Godfather Part II up through the intermission. And my dad has the DVD. That's my most embarrassing one.

As far as modern "classics" go, I haven't seen Forrest Gump, Braveheart, or The Shawshank Redemption.

Double Indemnity
Mr Smith Goes to Washington
Witness for the Prosecution
Judgment at Nuremberg

Witless Protection
Delta Farce
Disaster Movie
Vampires Suck

These are the only movies mentioned in this thread that I haven't seen.....and I am NOT embarrassed in any way what so ever about that.

Ya I don't think many consider those classics. At all, even their creators probably don't.

Hmmm as for classics that I have not seen....I'd have to think about that.

I think Friedberg and Seltzer GENUINELY believe they are making great movies, which just makes it sadder :(

I haven't seen Gone with the Wind, but I'm not ashamed to admit it, since I know the ending and the movie has never appealed to me.

You're missing out big time man! :wow:

I was just watching it with the commentary. The Blu Ray brings out the gorgeous cinematography even more.

Which one should I watch first, the original version or Redux?.

Double Indemnity
Mr Smith Goes to Washington
Witness for the Prosecution
Judgment at Nuremberg
Witness for the Prosecution is a great movie.

And I think it's on Netflix Instant. If you have it.

Apocalypse Now
Braveheart
Gone with the Wind
Most of Hitchcock's films

I'm with the same guys who haven't seen Apocalypse Now. It's even sadder because I do have the movie. :csad:

I also never seen Gone with the Wind.

I haven't seen Schindlers List.

Good one! I haven't seen that either.

I remember my father telling me that when he saw it, everyone shuffled out of the theater in dead silence afterward.

Teen Wolf

I am deciding if I should watch this or not.

Gone with the Wind
Metropolis

Ooh, there are many classics I havent seen but want to. Some directors made many films from whom I've only seen a few. See below.

These are the ones I remember now, but there's actually lots more. And I know there are also more modern classics I "always plan" to watch.

M.
Birth Of A Nation.
Battleship Potemkin.
Some Kurosawa flicks.
Some Fellini flicks.
A few Bergman flicks.
Don't think I've ever seen anything from Goddard.
I think theres a couple of Hitchkock ones I've still haven't seen.
Chaplin: Same here.
Stalker.
Most of the horror classics, but I've really never been a horror fan.
Most of the LOTR stuff (if those would be considered classics). No loss though, managed to get through the first one barely without fall asleep..

Honourable mention: Deep Throat. :o
