Are there any cliques at your job?

Not like management or anything but just a group of co-workers that tend to talk more, or hang out, with each other moreso than they will with the other employees.

Yeah, it's weird, because we are currently only traveling with me and 3 others...so the fact that I tend to team up with one of the guys and hang/work together and the other two are left to handle their stuff together is a little odd.

I actually addressed it once with, "I will cuss him out without thinking twice, so I'd rather be able to do that".

Yup, my job has a lot of cliques being that I work with mainly women. The biggest clique is all of the Filipinos.

Yeah, there was the FMM(Fax Machine Mafia) the BMP(Break Room Posse) and the LL's(Lavatory Lovers.) The LL's are a bit odd.

I work at the County and in my dept. I'm the only dude there, so not really a cliquish type of atmosphere, but there are a lot of pain in the assed women there. They got there little groups but no more than 2 or 3 and they don't talk about shirt no way. Playin the BigBadWolf suits me.

Before this I used to work in a large warehouse in the middle of nowhere, and it was closer to that. I move easy between groups tho, so that kind of thing never phased me too much, and our shift was real tight so yea, I liked it, we even shared food @ lunch... I miss that gig.

At my job, there are 5 people (4 women, 1 guy) that tend to talk and have conversations with each other more than the rest of us; they talk to us but not as much as they do with each other.

Ironically enough they're all latino, one's mixed but you get the idea.

We also have the Jesus Freaks and the Smelly Kids.

Most everyone in my office (30+) are women. Which is why I eat my lunch and post here during my lunch hour.

At the newspaper I work at there's this really annoying group of atheists that constantly gang up on people the moment religion is brought up. I don't have a problem with atheism, since I'm not very religious myself, but these guys are really oppressive.

I've seen them make a Christian co-worker cry when they started making fun of her belief in Jesus and what not. I got real up-in-arms about it and came down on them really hard. They're very anti-religion, yet they're zealous about their own faith in god not existing. To be honest, they're a little bigoted.

I've gotten pretty good at pointing out their contradictions, so they stay the hell away from me.

I did a report in my psychology class about Jesus Freaks. They are an odd bunch...

I once received several complaints from one person due solely to my "Buddy Jesus" bobble-head. Although I think she was more upset that it gave me an excuse to say, "Jesus H. Christ" in unnecessary circumstances. :o

it's Buddy Christ, not buddy Jesus. Get it right

Yeah, I call the certain clique in my office..."the watercooler ho's". All they do is gossip and gossip

At my job, it's based predominantly on the department and section you're in. Some are small, so those tend to form a whole clique by itself, but multiple cliques develop in the bigger departments.
