Something like THAT cannot be in the background. This is more in line with why AoS exists. If they get a 6th season, that should deal with it. Not this show or a Netflix show. It just is not in tone and is a massive distraction. But regardless, the point of a show, like Cloak & Dagger, is to be a show about them. Not to simply serve of some tie-in to an Avengers movie they will never feature in, and thus will have [blackout]no personal payoff for whenever everyone comes back.[/blackout] AoS can do that because it is a weekly series that was designed to be that sort of bridge. This is not. Let it be its own thing.

Cloak & Dagger WERE in the original Infinity Gauntlet story and it was Dagger who vanished in The Snap. Cloak was part of the attack force against Thanos with the remaining heroes, where he tried to contain Thanos in his cloak but got blown up for his trouble.

The show was filmed awhile ago. I think it's reasonable to assume it takes place awhile ago.

Can we get a forum for this show or, if not, maybe a Marvel television discussion forum? It would be for any cartoons, this show, maybe we can move the old Inhumans threads when that one closes down, future development (like New Warriors, if that ever gets made), and general discussion about how the TV shows are or are not connected. Either way, this thread seems to get buried by the high traffic of the Misc. TV forum.

MCU TV (SHIELD, Marvel Netflix, etc)

I have put in a request for a Cloak & Dagger forum. So basically it's a waiting game.

I think it's unfair to expect the tv shows to bend for the movies. Especially with such HUGE repercussions from IW.

I don't think fans appreciate the creative nightmare that occurs when you have to pander events in the movie.

And tbh, acknowledging IW events won't make the show better. In fact it will probably attract the same criticism Amazing Spiderman 2 and BvS got because it tried to hard to acknowledge so many things instead of focusing on a simple solid narrative.

And then, by the same token, you still have fans, many on here, clamoring for these characters to play a part in the films even if just for a cameo's sake or that there be a one-off line in their shows referencing the events of the films, which SHIELD can't seem to get enough of every season with how they crowbar lines about events from the films into their show when it's not necessary.

If Cloak and Dagger does end up looking like many TV productions with limited traffic in the streets and characters able to drive up and find parking right in front of their wanted location at will then a post Infinity War world is an easy explanation.
