Bad trailer for the '69 film. Our modern conception of what makes a good trailer didn't really appear until the early 1990s (arguably a little earlier).

However, it is still a great movie though. I do think the '69 trailer emphasized the comedy aspect of whimsical nature of the writing; I expect it to still be there in the Coen Brothers film as it is their kind of humor (the trailers we're getting I think are more grim than the actual picture will be). It also shows more of Kim Darby's Mattie which I also think is going to be big shoes to fill.

With that said seeing the trailer again reminds me (like us all) that Matt Damon is a huge improvement over Glenn Campbell in the role of Le Boeuf. Without a doubt.

Damn, I would've thought the 69 one was a buddy comedy. Anyways loved the new trailer, especially the shot of Jeff Bridges holding the girl and screaming, he sounded really beastly.

I have to ask. What's with the bear :lmao:?

The teaser already bought my ass a ticket, I just vaguely skimmed the theatrical one with the sound off. I don't want to see too much beforehand.

The light in that courtroom scene gave me a hard-on. Deakins you God, you.

Since I'm a official member of the ECG (European Cinematography Guild) and BCTCG (Bulgaria Cinema and Television Cinematographers Guild) I will recieve a screaner late November or early December, for the annual Golden Europe Awards.

My membership guarantee's me an early look at: True Grit, 127 Hours, The King's Speech, Secretariat, Black Swan and The Tempest.

As soon as I see it, I will post here ;)

Cool that you are a member in those guilds, and you get to see Black Swan and 127 Hours also, lucky you. :)

It's a bear Jeff Bridges killed with his bare hands and turned into a fashionable winter coat.

Holy...didn't know that. (wont watch the original for not to spoil the new movie)

That reminds me, Nic Cage needs to reunite with the Coen Brothers.

Actually I made that up, but I hope it's true.

Yeah I figured out. You can clearly see a guy with longer beard. (probably an Indian, since they are one theire theritory):

I don't think Indians grew long beards like that. In all the pictures I've seen of the they were clean-shaven.

Read the script. The Bear Man is:

a dentist/medicine man. The body on the horse is a corpse that he bought from a Native American.

Ok, riddle me this then: is the person that Bridges is holding in his arms while yelling into the night sky in a later shot Matt Damon's character?

Btw, mind PMing me the script?

No it's Mattie.

For future reference, I cannot provide the script. It is against SHH policy.
