Fangasm .

But why does the bottom one say "Retribution 2011?"

Argh TV spots, so tempting. I've been resisting watching TV spots of movies I'm looking forward to lately but this is going to be really tough.

Love a 100 minute odd run-time. Plenty of time to tell the story right but still short enough to have no excess.

The tv spots don't spoil much few new lines here and there. Including the a quick snippet at the fill your hands. My excitedness as just reached a new level for this movie. Jeff Bridges is going to own the entire month of December.

Just saw the trailer, I'd forgotten this was even coming out. It looks really friggin good but what else can you expect from the Coens? I hope this one is big and with any luck it'll help get some more westerns made in the future.

A lot of trailers and spots are employing that "BRMMMMMM" sound. I predict it will get incredibly lame and cliche by the end of next year. Green Lantern lacked "BRMMMMMM". Might have made that trailer better.

There were some little BRRRRMs during the shot of Abin's ship.:oldrazz:

Scott Feinberg broke the embargo and posted his review of True Grit on his website. It has since been pulled.

He loved it, and said that the film was a lock for Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Actor (Bridges), Best Supporting Actor (Damon), Best Supporting Actress (Steinfield), and Best Cinematography nominations. He also said it was the best western since Unforgiven.

The review embargo will be lifted on December 1st (Wednesday).

I can see it being better than Unforgiven, as it gets too much praise.

This movie looks amazing, I certainly hope it's as good as that early review says.

As soon as I watched the trailer, I predicted best picture for the film.

Once in a while I get that feeling and hunch that a particular film has the IT factor.

I had it with Slumdog Millionaire when I saw it 2 months before its nation-wide release, Crash, Departed.

While I don't mind the PG-13 rating, I am a bit surprised by the film's run-time. I was expecting a two-hour length at least.

Man I'm looking forward to this. I love the Coens and Jeff Bridges is just fantastic in anything he does. Gonna be great!

I can't wait for the reviews.

This is my most anticipated movie for the rest of the year.

I'm not a huge western fan, but something about this is very appealing to me. I dunno, but I just know a good film when I see one.

Some more early reactions:

"True Grit's a new Coen bros classic. A star is born in Hailee Steinfeld. Damon nails it & Bridges is killer good. The Dude does the Duke proud. Props to the Coens for sticking to True Grit as Charles Portis wrote it. The rich language runs thru the film like a vein of comic gold." - Peter Travers (Rolling Stone)

"loved True Grit. I agree with everything he (Travers) said. Except to also add that I found it surprisingly moving at the end." -Sasha Stone (Awards Daily)

"Excellent...RT@Tourex The Coen brothers strike again! RT @wdana: Just back from a True Grit screening. Wow, was that ever a good movie!" -Will Dana (Rolling Stone)

"i saw the screening of True Grit last night. another Coen brothers Film. there was a Q&A with Matt Damon and Hailee Steinfeld. A+++++" -Michael C (n/a)
