Colin Farrell IS The Penguin

More than a little IMO:

While not a spot on match, there are a lot of similarities between Pattinson and how Adams drew Bruce Wayne: the arched eyebrows, pointed nose, sharp pointed jaw (rather square and Superman-esque like too many artists do), the sharp cheekbones and sunken cheeks. I've always loved how Adams drew Bruce because he takes real effort to make him look different than Clark Kent. Aparo, Jim Lee, etc. all draw Bruce's facial features too similar to Supes for my taste.
He also looks like the "Night Cries" comic depiction of Bruce. It's a one-shot drawn by Scott Hampton from the early 90s.

Certain parts of his features also give me Nick Derington vibes:

Obviously there are also several drawings of Bruce that don't look anything like Pattinson. Off the top of my head I can say Mikel Janin (Tho Tom King thinks otherwise), Lee Bermejo, Clay Mann, Greg Capullo, any artist that Morrison used during his run, any Bruce Timm design and Alex Ross look NOTHING like Pattinson. But at least Pattinson looks like several designs of Bruce from the comics, which is more than you can say for Bale, Keaton, Kilmer (who had no resemblance whatsoever to any version of Batman before, during and after their time) and perhaps even Clooney and West (tho I'm pretty sure several artists of the 70s tried to give an Adam West vibe to Bruce's face)

The resemblance to the Scott Hampton version is uncanny. Giuseppe Camuncoli's take on the character, specifically as depicted in the top panel, has a similar facial structure as well.

For me, I would say that Adams and Hampton are the closest. Sale, Camuncoli, and Derington all draw the nose too small in proportion to the rest of the face, which I think undermines the resemblence to Pattinson despite other similarities.

Farrell's dad body is really perfect. No need for the exaggerated shirt-busting belly. And you can really see the excitement in his eyes playing the role. :hehe:

That man didn't look like Colin anyway, but DC stans being DC stans.

Matt will tweet or Warner will post a press release when filming officially starts.

No? No what? the filming has not begun?

I mean the guy looked like Colin in the one pic and he had an umbrella. Usually i wouldn't say that proves anything but Penguin has an umbrella plus Colin had the same color hair a
few days ago, so it was definitely a strange coicendence.

So he starts in two weeks... who the hell is that in the set photo from weeks back then?! :funny:

Yup and the hairs was not for the movie too.

So all that speculation was for nothing :funny: Damn.

Does Colin specifically tell Ellen that the hair was not for the film (I can't watch the interview right now)? It could have been temporary dye from hair and makeup tests in LA, with the final dye occurring when he gets to London and starts shooting. The style and colour is too spot-on to that person dressed Penguin-style on set to likely be a coincidence. My guess is that person was Colin's stand-in and he was not needed for that particular scene.

Also, is Ellen actually filmed the day it airs or could episodes be filmed in advance. I haven't watched the show in years but I assume nothing too topic is discussed. Just wondering if we are making too many assumptions based on the Ellen appearance.

Ellen specifically showed the paparazzi pic of him that came out just three days ago, so the interview would have been filmed in the last day or two.
