So I need to reorganise how I keep my comics, and I figured this would be the place to get ideas.

I don't have that many, just around a hundred or so that right now are all jumbled on a shelf my cat likes to lie on. I considered getting fold up plastic crates, but want something more space economic.

Any ideas? How do you guys keep them?

I keep mine in shoeboxes on a shelf in my closet.

Standard cardboard fold-out boxes for me, you can find them at any comic book shop. Definitely keep them off the floor though, especially if you have rugs. Silverfish will eat your freakin' comic collection right out from under you without a second thought.

i keep mine in folders and in individual plastic sheets

cheap cardboard magazine boxes...but all comics are bagged and boarded first...with yellow stickies that signal change of book, pink for change of arc, and blue for mini series...

Yeah, I found that out the hard way. I lost several Ghost Rider comics from those little ****s.

Wow, does that make me feel like a mediocre collector...

Not sure about boxes, take up too much space and less accesable, I take out and re-read my books quite a lot.

I remember in malcolm in the middle stevie had his comic books hanging on the back of a door in a plastic display thing, but I have no idea where to buy something like that. For me that sort of thing would be perfect because it displays them nicely and takes up very little space.

but think of that collectable spider-man wallpaper getting holes in it with pins....or being ripped by sticky tac....or something far worse heppening to it:wow: :wow: :wow:

How do you know about my wallpaper :cmad:

I have my collection in drawer boxes. They are file cabinet style boxes specifically meant for comic books.

I have ten boxes. All books are bagged and bored. I have them arranged by category (X-Men, Spider-Man, Etc) then each category is arranged by title (Uncanny X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, New X-Men, Etc.) then each title is in numerical order. I have a seperate section for completed series (Mutant X, Quicksilver, Longshot, etc.)

All I've still got is some Ghost Rider and Max punishers.

I don't see why they should be, even though they are...

but anyway, my room actually looks like this

eeewwww....overlaping:wow: :wow: :down

yeh...go for your wall style thing...but i'd say that that would be more for special comics, like AF15 or first appearance of dr doom and the likes of that. normal comics should go in boxes IMO.

and i now see that my room is geekier than i thought:csad:

All books are in boxes from when I moved. Some are in plastic but that's because they came with them.
New ones I've bought are just laying about.
I'm hoping when I buy a house I'll have a better system.
