Each time I have to bend the wires on one of those leds, I cry inside...


That's it for now, I have to wait for the Tulip "paint" to go hard before I can fit any more leds. It's basically liquid rubber. Thought it was the best stuff to use so as to not damage the insanely thin wires...

She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts...!
Gave up on the Tulip paint and used 5 minute epoxy resin instead. Want this done today!


And because you know you love it, I've done a video too...

And because I had to wait for glue to dry bit by bit with the scanner, I got on with this outstanding task...

Bought more silver metallic paint and applied a couple of fresh coats because it looked patchy before.


This is after the first top coat of 2x clear gloss.


This is after the 2nd much heavier coat of 2x clear gloss. Gawd, I hope it dries as shiny as that...!

going through my dresser I found a set of aftermarket decals for the AMT/Ertl (now Polar Lights) Enterprise D which has name/reg numbers for other Galaxy Class ships and a 2nd sheet of JUST all the lifeboat hatches wow I forgot I had em.

Yes! They are still a little bit wet so I have to way until tomorrow to start with the painting. I may have to put them in the oven for a while to get them really dry.

The weather is not the best these days, way too humid.

The primer stage is done! However... I forgot to second coat one of the pieces *facepalm*

No spoons have been hurt during this process.

Would love to get my hands on some city themed stickers and add them to the Stormtrooper and Darth Vader figures. Make a series of them.

I may be adding some cotton and birdseed so it grows and looks as if it were hair.
