I went to comic con a few years back twice in a row because I used to live literally down the street from the convention center. Ah, those were the days... before the lego Gotham City and massive explosion of participants. Anyone arranging a carpool?

I got the best news today....by virtue of my friend who runs a Comics/collectible shop here in CT we are attending SDCC as guests of Diamond Collectibles....we get Pro badges and everything

apparently some of the anime/manga people aren't happy because TokyoPop (due to their current financial issues and laying off a crapload of people) have pulled out of SDCC. Me, personally, I feel anime and manga should have their own thing and not clog up SDCC

I totally agree. And they should nix the non-comic-related movie/TV show stuff as well.
