Community is on during the Big Bang Theory and Outsourced gets all of the viewers who leave their channel on NBC after the Office.

I really loved tonight's episode. So many good moments! I loved that Tig and Paul F Tompkins made a cameo.:awesome::awesome::awesome:

Suprisingly heavy handed though.

Loved Britta and Jeff's argument over the same bar.lol

Did he say Stargate was better than Farscape?!!!

Abed gave one of the best fake laughs I've ever seen when he was in the car with Troy and Jeff.

Wow, probably the most serious episode yet of the show, which is a good change of pace. The writers really did a great job balancing the funny with the melancholy, and they peeled back some great layers on Troy.

Farscape references on Community!

*brain melts*

Just happy to see Paul F. Tompkins on the show. (35th episode of Community)

"Hello during a random dessert. The month and day of which coincide numerically with your expulsion from a uterus."

Just one week away from the Christmas episode then a break until January 20th where the 2nd semester begins.

very good episode. some serious moments and of course good jokes.

Troy, if he's a JW, isn't allowed to celebrate Christmas or Halloween... yet he did...

also, I really wanted a Troynnie...

No he didn't. He went to a costume party that coincided on October 31. He also a had random dessert on the month and day of which coincide numerically with hisexpulsion from a uterus."

None the less, a Jehova's Witness is not allowed to drink alcohol to the point of intoxication . Troy has done this before (he injured himself doing a keg stand, after all). Even though he decided not to drink that night, he had still been intoxicated before. I think its safe to say that Troy is at best a very loosely practicing Jehova's Witness.

Decent episode. Didnt really laugh that hard tho. I thought it was going to be alot better and I have to say its probably my least favorite episode

It was a keg flip! They are very hard to pull off!! Lmao! Annie was killin me last nite, the way she totally immersed herself into Caroline Decker and then started *****ing about Annie was awesome! Abed, omg what can ya say?!?! That Farscape rant was insanely great! I really really like talking about Farscape hahahahaha!!! Also who else thought it was just so almost heartwarming that Troy essentially became a man last nite by not getting drunk but by manning up and driving everyone home. Lol being sober and putting up with drunk friends fn blows! But sometimes ya gotta be the dd lol

Yes great episode. The fist line was brilliant! "Why did we just sing the last two words?" And the interactions in the bar were geat. I love that Abed continued talking to the gay dude hitting on him, simply because he loved talking about Farscape. I see where he's coming from, I love talking to people about obscure things I love, that no one else does, no matter how annoying the person is. "Would you like to have gay sex with me?" I also loved the serious portions of the show. It was great to see Troy maturing and becoming a man.

I think this was arguably the best episode of the series so far. Yes, I meant series... not taking anything away from the other shows.
I just felt certain moments in the show were rushed and too much was done too soon.
The Britta + Jeff plot I thought would go on for longer considering they can be seen as the 'romantic leads' of the show.
The Jeff + Annie thing didn't make much sense.
Then the whole triangle between the three of them seemed to go so far in terms of tension, and then just got dialled back abruptly (so it seemed).

Then there were a lotta episodes were the stakes got raised soo high that it seemed like things wouldn't be the same after, but then it went back to being normal.

So I prefered this slow and gradual peeling of layers, setting up things for later (like Shirley's plot of being a boozehound.) introducing aspects of characters without resolving it right away (Annie's self doubt) and even Troy's maturity wasn't sullied by an over the top gag or giggle at the end that would've taken away from the set up of his character during the last act.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE COMMUNITY, just thought if the pacing was like this through out... we would've had a lot more story arcs to go on in the future and it would've been a more rounded off show with not just laughs but other things too.

It took me a while to see where they were going with this episode...there was like no lol moments and I was sitting there waiting.

When I finally got what they were doing, I loved it. Great Troy episode. :woot:

The episode felt a bit out of place with it being more serious than usual. Still, there were some funny moments. All the pics of a drunk Shirley and that one guy asking Abed to have gay sex with him was hilarious. I was hoping for some Troy/Annie development. I think Annie with Jeff is kind of gross.

This ep was arguably the most serious of the series, but don't let us forget that last season there were plenty episodes that were both touching and hilarious. When I first saw all of season 1 the very first thing I said about it was "This is the next Scrubs" meaning that I felt it had the lmao moments while still presenting a good amount of heart. In the first season we are introduced to Jeff, and throughout he schemes and manipulates people to his own ends but usually learns a lesson and grows closer to the people around him in the process and opening up a weird love triangle.

Now we are on to season 2 and as much as I love this show and still think it's the most brilliantly written comedy probably ever, something is different this season. I dunno what, but they have shifted the focus heavily. Abed said it in the premiere though "I'm hoping we can stop focusing on the lovey dovey stuff and move onto more outrageous, fast-paced, self contained escapades!" and it's great. I love this show more than anything on tv right now basically but it's almost feels like Jeff isn't really the lead character anymore, feels like there is no one main character really. I dunno how I feel about that. Doesn't change how I feel about the show at all, just an observation. Anyways fun fact, did you guys know that Abed is actually based off of Dan Harmon? From what I've heard Dan Harmon is like that in real life, not to the extreme that Abed is like with all the social obliviousness but with the equating everything in real life to tv shows and movies. I just thought that was really cool

Lol, yeah thats what I was going to say but the writers probably didnt think about it, they just threw it in to be funny

Because I use to be a jehovahs witness, and from what I have seen troy is not a JW lol

As Dan Harmon would say he's writing a TV show, go get your documentary crew.
What's interesting is Donald Glover was raised as a Jehovah's Witness in a foster home. They've taken elements from the actors lives and incorporated into the characters.

This last episode was the best one ever, they could have gone the typical "Troy get's drunk" but totally put that notion on it's head and through in some drama and got Tory to "grow up" instead. Just beautiful, message and everything.

T-Dog rules...
