Beltrami Replaced by Badelt on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
SoundtrackNet has learned that composer Marco Beltrami has been replaced on the upcoming computer-animated film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Reportedly taking over the project is composer Klaus Badelt.

Directed by Kevin Munroe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released by Warner Brothers on March 23, 2007.

Isn't Klaus the real composer of the Pirates films? :o Then, it is a good choice :)

I'd really like to hear the theme song they did in the original TMNT when they see Splinter in the fire and they are all crying. That was so good.

Well, he's the main one at least. There were like 9 composers working on that movie.

Yet Hans Zimmer got credit in the sequel even though 98% of the music was from the first movie!

beltrami will be missed....... but klaus is also an amazing composer

I'm disappointed. I think Beltrami does some solid work and I was anxious to hear what his take on the Turtles theme was. Kevin Munroe said he was giving the Turtles a real theme music type of march.

I hope Bedelt still does that and gives us a good soundtrack though.

Damn :csad: I loved Beltrami's work on Hellboy, and I thought some of his softer cues would have been perfect for this.

From what I heard, it's more like Klaus took credit for Hans's work on the first Pirates.

You can kinda tell they did the Spider-man 2 route with Pirates 2. But I thought some of the newer and more modified cues were pretty well done in it.

I hope this isn't a case of Troy. Gabriel Yared worked very hard for a year and produced what I think was a really good score. Then they fired him because it didn't test well and then they had James Horner do a 4 week rush job hacked together score for the movie and it blew. Not that Troy was a great film or anything, but Yared's score was so much better.

I'm just wondering, are we going to just get a hacked together score for the movie? And why was Beltrami let go?

Here's hoping Klaus does the TMNT justice with a kick ass score. He was the only shining light in the disaster known as Catwoman.
