Revenge of the Fallen Concerns About Transformers: ROTF

As for the whole Bumblebee vocal cords thing i wonder why the cube didn't fix that problem after he touched it, i mean hell it somehow magically repaired Frenzy's body.

There are two teories about Bumblebee's voice:

1°: Ratchet's laser fixed it, but it took some days to make full effect.

2°: The Allspark fixed it when Bumblebee touched it.

I'm leaning towards the first one, because, if it was because of the Allspark, Bumblebee wouldn't still be having voice problems in T:RoF.

The first movie's dialog, storyline and plot inconsistancies lowered my expectations to the point where I don't really care enough to have any concerns. I just laugh it all off now.

Jetfire walks with a cane? LOL - sure, why not?

Wisecracking twin Autobots making fart jokes for the kids? - OK...go crazy.

A bunch of Transformers that have big wheels instead of legs, and thus still look like vehicles in their jumbled, confusing robot modes? - whatever...it's Bayformers, man!

More annoying character acting from John Turturro, more lack of any kind of romantic chemistry between LaBeouf and Fox, and more inane dialog and broad, dumb humor all around? -- Hey, whatever brings in the money from the masses, right? LOL.

I know what to expect. So the 25% of the movie that's awesome action and effects scenes will remain my primary focus. I won't worry about the rest.

I would like to thank you for sparing me the effort of writing this myself.

Goddamnit, now you reminded me of Torturo's character.... My god! Even in the trailer you can see him acting like a ******. Look how fast and nerdy he turns to Sam with that newspaper in his hands. Goddamn it, his character was beyond ******ed. Do kids really like stuff like that? Really?

I don't know about kids but I absolutley LOVED John Torturo in the first film and can't wait to see him in the 2nd. Yes, I thought he was a stich along with the parents. The comedy aspect of the films are half the reason I even bother watching them.

The Allspark didn't do anything; if anything, it helped him speak that one line at the end of the first film without using the radio. That's why he's most likely still using the radio in ROTF.

And, as I said on the previous page, Bumblebee's voice will be the same, because Megatron ripped his voice box in Cybertron. Ratchet can do all he wants, but BB needs a new voice box. Who knows, maybe they return to Cybertron in TF3 and BB finds it, "Hey, I found it!!!"

I thought this was understood by how Optimus was confused that bumble bee could speak, hence the "Bumble Bee, you can speak?" line

there was no confirmation that he was fully repaired

Exactly.

Plus his voice sounded like it had autotune, so it was most likely part of his voice with radio frequency. It wasn't as clear as Prime's voice, or Ironhide.

I think it would of been cool if they put Hot Shot in the movie and became Sam's new favorite car then Bumble Bee gets enraged from jealousy and tries too be Sam's favorite again,lol.

You know, i like the Jetfire design for what it is, but i just wish he wasn't called Jetfire. Why not call him by another name less known to fans like they did with Barricade?

My concerns are:

The over the top humor that got beyond silly in TF1

Megatron's gimp arm. The more i look at it, the more i ask, "Why?Why?Why?" Is this supposed to help Prime get the edge over Megs as Bay promised after Primes smack down in TF1? I can't wait to hear the logic behind that design decision.

Soundwave not having alot of screentime, as rumored now has this being the case.............o.k, maybe not. I guess the only way to have a character like Soundwave in a Bay movie, and not have the fans ***** and moan about his characterization, is to have him on screen as little as possible.

Devastator being taken out by the military as Blackout and Megs was.

It not being explain why Bumblebee can't talk..again.

I dont remember him talking in the first movie. What was the line you refer to?

Also, most transformers grow back huge parts of their bodies. Scorponok will probably be fine by ROTF and remember, he had his tail blown off. Transformers have a healing factor. They dont need a mechanic to screw things back into place. So if Bee cant talk in ROTF, its only because Bay wants him not to. Probably because that makes him look like a big yellow teddy bear for Sam.

completley disagree. I didn't find him "over the top" at all, infact, he was just right. Played the role perfectly and it's THAT energy in the character I want to see in the next film.
