The Avengers Costume ideas for the avengers?

some people like ultimate marvel, its an opinion, i think some ultimate looks would look better on film the classic looks, imo, but other times mainstream looks are better, but i still want a grey hulk

I'm not even referring to the **** universe of Ultimate, I'm just referring to they're costumes.

For a site that complains about super hero movies always resorting to plain black leather-like costumes, I find it contradictory to want costumes from a comicverse where that's all the costumes are.

i never said i didnt like black leather costumes, and i think a lot of the costumes for the ultimate universe are pretty cool, but theyre still not mainstream, in all hoesty, i new costume jsut for the films would fly right with me

Better than a brown leather onesey I think. I'm not saying give him a hundred pockets or anything. But (ignoring the face), see how this one looks when painted semi-realistically

well I hope that they make Hawkeye wear some sort of costume, the actor who's apparently playing him has said he thinks that a t-shirt and shades will do. As if looking like a tourist screams superhero.

Other than that I'd like to see the Iron Man armour move away from the Extremis look. I loved it but it's a bit old now. Maybe even a variation the post Seige armour or a variation on the 90's cartoon armour.

I'm not the biggest fan of Renner for Hawkeye in the first place. But I think any potential for a comic character has to be up for, and advocating using proper costumes for their character. Even if its the X-Men leather level of costume rather than spandex. So the fact that Jenner reckons a t-shirt'll do? You're out buddy cos you don't have enough faith in the tradition or enough passion to try and make it work.

cmon, even his original Ultimates look was better then that, i say go for a combo of his recent ultimate look and his classic look

What's Ant-Man modern costume for Hank? He hasn't been Ant-Man since I think the last Perez Busiek era, and then his costume was a definite hark back to the original one.

I agree with Hawkeye though - the Ultimate Avengers (not the Ultimates) costume has definite potential. But it needs more blue in it, and a more revealing mask.

I think Pym would look best in the Yellowjacket Costume. I always kind of thought the Ant Man one looked dumb. And the Giant Man brown thing is kinda boring. I'd like them to look flashy, without being cartoonish. You know they'll have Janet talking about the costumes either being too boring or too ugly or something and making (or trying to) new ones.

I think the Ant-Man costume is way more likely to look good in live action then the Yellowjacket costume. Not only is red and black a better color combination then yellow and black, but the Ant-Man helmet has plenty of potential to look cool as well as unique.

The big three are the easy ones. Though there's a lot of contention about Cap's uniform, everyone seems to agree wholeheartedly about the Thor costume. Natasha is also a shoe in for her IM2 costume.
Jan also seems to be favourite for her most recent 616 outfit.

The tricky ones are Hank and Clint. Clint mostly because of the mask (but I am not a fan of the plain looking sleeveless onesey from Ultimates 1 - or the damn compound bow). Hank because for him its either humongous helmet, skin tight black and yellow with wing tips, or a brown leather all in one/s&m suit.

Interesting though how regardless of the opinions as to who should be on the team over on the cast the avengers thread and the who should be on the avengers thread; here its pretty much unanimous that its the big three, BW, ank, Jan, and Clint.

Ant-Man should have a rather new, modernized costume, Kinda like the plain shrinking suit seen in Ultimates 2, Ultimate Power. Doing anything from the 616 in Pym's days as Ant-Man would seem very silly.

Wasp I could see in either her modern costume or in some kind of movie ultimization of her.

Cap should be a mix between 616 & Ultimate (maybe Ultimate costume except for the head which should have the wings).

Base all costumes on the Ultimate versions for The Avengers. For Cap's stand alone film the costume should be true to the timeline.

I Completely disagree, The only ultimates costumes that would look good on film is Nick Fury and Maybe Cap, other then those, the rest would not work

i expect Hawkeyes costume to be based on the more recent Ultimate version, guns and all. Thor doesnt need a new costume, they can use whatever he wears in his movie. Cap a mix of 616 and Ultimate. and i wouldnt mind seeing Iron Man in his sleek new armor from the comics. maybe bulk up War Machine a bit and put some more weaponry on him but hes ok as is.
