I was at first against it. I am still undecided. But I will say this, the costume (to the best of my knowledge) was a construct anyway, so it makes some sense that it would be cg.

I'm on the fence as well but CG has come a long way and its not like there replicating human skin so it should look good at worst. I think the important part is that if his face isn't CG you really wont be to distracted and if they come up with amazing lighting and construct designs it should be a real treat. The only bad part is we wont be seeing the costume anytime soon and it can't leak if it doesnt exist, lol.

It's funny but it after the initial shock, it seems oddly natural to do the GL suit this way. I'm curious to know how the idea came about, I like to think it was one of those happy accident moments during a meeting or something.

personally i said it before i see no reason why white or black gloves cant work for the film. its all about how it looks good on screen. And for all we know it could be both. Also man it would be real sweet if someone scores a photo of ryan in the grey tracking suit he is wearing if they have him wearing it in any exterior shots.

Knowing the magic pratical fx companies can create, this at first sounded like an unnecessarily expensive and time consuming idea but (like others) the more i think about it the more i'm warming to it.The alienlooking costume with green aura look they're trying to achieve is really something up Sony Imageworks ally judging their work on Dr.Manhattan in Watchmen.

Now i'm more intrigued to see what the GL costume will look like tha before.

yea i am sure when all things are done it will look great. plus they have well over a yr to get every single thing just right. now yea i am sure the first official released photo will look good. but if it comes out in july at comic con we do have to remember we still have many more months of post work and it could look even better then first still we see.

most likely at comic con, since they have been filming for awhile, and hopefully they will at least have a good render design of the costume being specifically made for release at comic con.

they've been working on the CGi since December/Jan when they hired the CGI superviors. The art department has been working since last Fall on designs.

So it's possible for an image by Comic Con, or even before (like Juneish)

Yeah, I'm definitely expecting to see a teaser poster and an official pic of Ryan in costume. Hell, I wouldn't be suprised at all if we got pics of Sinestro, Hector Hammond, and Abin Sur as well... their definitely supporting characters that they will be trying to sell the look on. Can only hope for pics of Kilowog and Tomar Re as well.
