Costume.

I thought that MultiPurposePoni over at CBM interviewed one of the crew members of the film and got him to admit that the costume looked like the comicbook. The guy said that the cosutme looked something like this:

except the gloves were a little shorter and not as simple looking. The guy also described the colors to "subtilely shift around" as fit it were "made of pure energy". This doesn't look like armor to me so I don't know why people are still suggesting that it will be.
i like that idea/pic/whatever you call it, im not happy lol

to dnno1,

The guy that Poni spoke to mentioned that it was white in the pre-vis/storyboards. otherwise, he hasn't seen the final suit yet.

Now, I think Poni DID talk to a guy from Sony Imageworks and then he confirmed it does have white. Unless I'm wrong. I don't remember. I have to find that interview.

i wonder if MPP or any of the other CBM big wigs are members here on the hype boards?

MPP is.

Here is the interview about the suit:

i don't know if you guys have seen this but this seems to be a decent mix of armor and old school costume i just dont like how this artist made the lantern a arc reactor rip-off

GreenLantern.jpg

that's very old art concept that was being used before Campbell stepped in as director.

Yea from what we have been told its due to look pretty close to comics look with a few changes here and there. Though that artwork was only a concept work that wasnt the finalized look of the film. Which the artist of the work stated when the image first came out.

But I like the costume but I would change a few things maybe I'll make a Photoshop of what it would look like

here is a quick photoshop i did of how my movie costume would look if it was based on the old concept art all i did was make the gloves white and replace the lantern

am i the only person who thinks black guy when i see that art?

no it just a dark skinned white guy, if i recall that art work was drawn to resemble David Borezaze(spelling? buffy/angel/bones)

Does anybody think the costume should be seamless since it materializes out on no where. Except the gloves and boots it is all one piece

could be how it will be who knows. i am still interested to see how a full cgi costume turns out.

yea me too, and yes a seamless costume would make sense

that was why I'm still not convince that we haven't seen anything that looks like the costume yet, especially the artwork that was used for the Merch Expo. In the art piece, the gloves has..creases.

hmm, might be too large a file, ill see what i can do.

Bad ideal to have it cg. It will show and look to cartoonish.
