actually, i'm quite happy, just not that enthused with the bastardization of one of my favorite books by a frat boy director who has the audacity to think he can make a decent adaptation when all signs say otherwise. and also, pray tell what have i done that's so wrong that i'm going to be shown "the door" AKA the logout button, which i can clearly see? because i have a differing opinion than yours? because i've backed it up with logical examples? because i've stuck to my guns? this is a forum, forums are where people come together to debate. that is its purpose. would you not agree, because i'm sure we can debate that too

Looks damn near perfect IMO. I don't understand the criticism about the costumes (what the hell were you expecting, Gold and Purple Tunics?) but it's nice to see that the characters looks dead on to the characters in the comic.

I wish I knew what logic you were using because its obviously not from this universe..

except it's not. again, if you gave the comic design to a real talented hollywood costume designer and said "make it look like this, but real", they would be able to make the right aesthetic choices to create something completely believable but still in the same vein as the comic. you're just not using your imagination to try and make me sound like i dont know what i'm talking about, when i can assure you i very much do know what i'm saying

but you're saying he is good at directing and i havent really heard why you think so other than your opinion that you like it. why is this stuff good? why are these costumes great? not that i really care, because my mind is already made up, and yours is too anyway, so why are you still trying to convince me otherwise? does my opinion really matter that much? i'm quite flattered

and yes, there are thousands of fans who do like where this movie is going, but there are also plenty of fans who don't like it. i'm voicing my opinion because frankly, i don't think all of you have really considered this all enough. so many so blindly follow this movie just because it is WATCHMEN. "Holy ****, Watchmen is being made!" enthusiasm sometimes gets in the way of critical thinking.

i guess i just have higher standards. they're probably unrealistic, but hey, since when has hollywood cared what i think?

Ohh. so now your up for aesthetic changes? And also, the Nite-Owl costume looks a lot like it does only you know.. Aesthetically changed to look realistic on screen. Also, that Batman costume right there looks exactly like Bob Kane's Batman minus the oval.

Gold and purple tunics? Yes, it would have made more sense, considering Adrian Veidt story and attitude than black rubber.

Well, look, all animosity aside, I do like your drawings. The one of your friend Mary is actually quite stunning and has good expression. I also really like the Ambush Bug, and your Joker creeps me out, but that's good thing haha

Great costumes - you can't be totally faithful when the original artwork was cheesy and ridiculous. Some updates were needed for adapting this to live action.
