I mean it certainly gives new hope that we might get his arch nemesis done right at last?????

Tell me THAT SCENE wouldn't look beautiful across the New York skyline....

There has been a Green Goblin in some form or another in 3 out of 5 Spider-Man films.

They need to rest the character for a bit.

Sure, they would do Malekith but GG make up is too scary? I don't think so

Agreed, while i love the character, i don't think they should use him for in least the next 2 spider-man films.

While the Raimi costume had problems, when he was fighting spider-man, i think it felt a lot like classic spidey vs green goblin, even visualy.

I think the MCU Spider-Man solo movie should use a villain who hasn't been seen on the big screen before, like Mysterio or the Vulture. This would help keep the movie fresh, and keep viewers interested. You don't always have to go back to the same old villains all the time. Green Goblin and Doc Ock are great, but they're not the be-all, end-all. There's plenty of Spidey rogues to choose from.

Agree not only but sm2 had norman and the whole harry thing with wating to get sm so in some ways that is 4/5 sm movies. I don't want goblin again in less we get the classic look though. I think we need to see ock again before goblin.

616 Goblin can never work. Here's why:

On my phone so if someone could copy my post and insert in a quote, it would be nice.

That was way back in 2001, a lot can change in movie production technology in 10+ years. Prime example: Batman's cowl. The 1989 Batman's cowl didn't allow Michael Keaton to turn his head while wearing it, but by 2008 Christian Bale had no such problem when he filmed The Dark Knight. Also worthy of note, with its Ark Reactors, Iron Man armors, cloaking Helicarriers and flying cars the MCU already has a comic book take on technology that'd allow said mask to believably have electronic components without the need to look metallic like it did in 2002 Spider-Man.

I think they should wait on Green Goblin. Just use Norman himself for a good while, maybe even as the main foe for Phase 4. If we're going to get a MCU goblin, then it's Kingsley's time to shine.

I think so too. Introduce and build up Norman throughout a few films before bringing him in as the GG.

As for the OP's question....yes, I truly hope so. GG is my favorite villain so I want him to represented properly and now that the ASM series is dead, we have a chance to see that happen.

Trevor Slattery as Green Goblin? Some people were actually upset when it turned out that who they perceived as the Mandarin turned out to be an actor. It would be mass hysteria if they would find out that an actually beloved villain is in reality...the same actor..
Or are you just referring to Roderick Kingsley? Meh, I prefer the Trevor Slattery route. It would upset all the right people

I think Marvel and Sony could go the reverse of the comics and have Norman Osborne appear first, steal Rhodey's armour and become the Iron Patriot, and only later on become the Green Goblin. That way, he will already have been developed as a villainous force for several movies without even donning the Goblin mask. Then, by the time he does wear it, there will be a larger pay off.

If we can finally get Green Goblin that looks like THAT. I will be running to the theaters opening day!

I want some purple on the Goblin this time round. I don't care if people argue "He's the GREEN Goblin, not Green and purple Goblin". He's always had purple, and he looks much better like that than all in green as the movies have shown now on more than one occasion.

I hope so but I don't think they should use Goblin again for some time. Willem Dafoe was perfect actor for Green Goblin and it would be hard to top that. His voice and laugh was perfect.

I know it wouldn't be realistic that the mask's mouth moves like it was his real face but it would look great. I wouldn't have a problem if the mask was like in Spider-Man(2002) but the costume could be like in comics:

I hate when people say the Green Goblin from the comics would look silly if Marvel releases an image of The Green Goblin from a future movie and he looked like the 616 Goblin there would be a much better reaction then the reaction was when Sony released an image of Green Goblin from The Amazing Spider-Man 2

You guys remember that holographic mask that Natasha wore in TWS? yeah, they could use a similar technology for GG's mask.

There's a fine a way to give him a mask where it can emote. Like…like

NANO TECH..NOLOGY (ECHO)!!!!

Or a holographic mask. The mask itself can be metal or whatever.

I would never be in favor of him not being in a series altogether, but they certainly need a break for a few films.

This is the opportunity to do something new.

Yeah, Norman can use a modified holographic mask for the GG suit.
Remember it doesn't just cover the wearers face, it envelopes their whole body, so that's two birds with one stone.

If/ when Goblin shows up in a MCU Spidey film, I certainly hope he's finally done justice.

That's what people want when trying to get Emma to play both Gwen and MJ. :o
